Hunter

* Equipping a thrown weapon while in the middle of an Auto-Shot will no longer cause animation issues.
* Casting Flare while in any way not visible, will no longer cause your flare to be invisible to other players.
* Hunter’s Mark: Hunters with Improved Hunter’s Mark will now properly overwrite Hunter’s Mark cast by Hunters without the talent.
* The stamina tooltip for hunter pets will now display the proper health increase.

HUZZAH! Omg. I'm SO sick of other hunters in 25 man raids who INSIST on casting their non-improved hunters mark, even though I tell them not to. I've been told by 3 different hunters that my mark will override theirs, but according to xPerl, it's NOT. I can tell because my debuffs are twice the size of other players' debuffs, and when I try to cast a 5/5 improved hunter's mark over unimproved marks, the debuff does not become mine.

I almost can't wait for next week's raid so I can tell them that even BLIZZARD acknowledges that it doesn't do it.

Well no huge changes for us, but I did just set my eyes on that new Legendary bow that makes its own arrows....you though people called us OP now, wait till they see a hunter with that thing
#3 Feb 10 2008 at 8:32 AM Rating: Decent
I've been reading about that legendary bow on the O-boards and the general consensus is that you'll hit about 200 dmg harder on steady shots and such but your auto shot dmg would remain the same (assuming you were using Sands of Time rep ammo + BT range weps). Other than that, most hardcore hunters seem disappointed and see it and go "wheeeeeeeeeeee... no more quiver...-_-"

Legendary bow
The legendary bow is indeed named Thori'dal (and supposedly drops from Kil'jaeden). And since everyone will ask for a proof, here are the spell IDs for some of the bonuses. (The spell names and bonuses are directly from the patch released today)

44972 : Legendary Bow Haste - Increases ranged attack speed by 15%. Does not stack with quiver or ammo pouch haste effects.
46699 : Requires No Ammo - Thori'dal generates magical arrows when the bow string is drawn. Does not use ammo.

I wonder what arrow equivalent those magic arrows are? I hope that they're better than Scale of the Sands arrows.

The arrows have no added dps. The bow iteslf has about 147 dps I think. This is so damn high becasue it includes the bonus you would normally get from adding arrows. IF you had the bow from Illidan and the timeless arrow, the new bow ends up being .1 dps less. But it has better bonus stats and you don't need a quiver.

The Illidan Bow has also ~40 MP5 on it which really is useful. A shame that I got outbid on it :-(
So between the Illidan bow and the legendary you look at:
17agi, 16crit rating, 34ap, 112armor reduce vs. 0.1dps, 26ap and 8 mana per shot (~40MP5).

As long as mana is not an issue, the legendary bow is clearly better. But in those mana heavy fights, I'd prefer to use the Illidan bow.

So the legendary thing about this bow is that it does not use your quiver and normal arrows? Meh, I hoped for a bonus that would be useful to the raid group... or at least a buff that would boost the dps like the war glaive's haste proc.

What bow are you talking about? If it is the Netherstrand Longbow, you can only use it for that fight.

AND...
What Hunter wouldn't like another 16-20 empty bag spots? That alone makes this bow Legendary indeed!

Yeah Kinda. I beleive it is only in there because people constantly complain that there is no legendary bow. So Bliz said "fine, take this, youwill just out level it in a few months when the expansion is finally released."

Oh well. I will probobly never see it unless we return here at lvl 80.

Whats with the bikini behind the window in that link posted for that bow?

I also think it's funny that people are annoyed and complaine that some of the best weapons/armor in WoW drop in places that fewer people raid... Isn't that sort of the point?

That's not a bikini, that's a female human without any clothes on. It's her underwear.

Well... On a better note. There's FINALLY a PvE option for an epic chestpiece for hunters who aren't getting into ZA or 25-man content... Or have to compete with 2 other hunters, a handful of enhancement shamans, and enough mages and warlocks to make you cry.

Hauberk of the War Bringer drops from Kael'thas in normal mode in Magister's Terrace.

It's still a great stepping stone between dungeon blues and ZA/25 mans.

I'm in a position where I could spend a ton of money to get the BoE epic crafted chestpiece to BARELY raise my stats from my Laughing Skull battle harness, or I can wait for my turn for the chestpiece off of Hydross, which I'm competing for with an enhancement Shammy, and two other hunters. There's also the Arrow-fall chest guard from ZA, but I'm only an alt for my guild's ZA raid, and they haven't cleared that boss yet- AND I'm competing for it with the same shaman from SSC. We also haven't cleared Mag yet, and I'd be about 4th or 5th in line for the token.

There's always the leather chestpiece from Nightbane, but I have to pass to rogues and feral druids before I can even hope to roll on it =\.

Raid loot Politics suck. 5-mans that drop Epics don't.

Yeah, it's sad when the best benefit of a legendary bow is "oh neat, now when I SOLO or go farming I can hold more junk before having to vendor some trash."

But you all missed what RPzip said

In other words with a 1:1 shot rotation this bow will put out a crap load more DPS because of it's much higher base damage.

Look at it another way. All things equal. Average damage for arrows at 70 is roughly 40 so a DPS of about 24, for auto shots alone. This bow basically adds that dps to our steady shots as well. So thats a pretty big increase in overal DPS if you ask me.

sorry for the rough quick guesstimation, it's 4:50 icey out, I'm rushing to get a lot of things done in a few minutes, and of course WoW takes priority lol
