Can you please post your armory to see what your stats/gear are?

Oh, and your first link doesn't go to a 2/47/12 build, assuming you are hit capped and have more than 800/900 unbuffed damage, then the 2/48/11 or 2/47/12 is the best.

If by T4 you mean all your gear is T4 or equivalent, then 2/47/12 is likely your best bet.

Hi all
I just want to update you that I change my build from 2/47/12 to 40/21/0 and these are the test result:
This build increase my bonus damage by 120.
When doing head to head with some1 that have same gear but using 2/47/12 build I did 51% damage and he did 49% (3 min of pure DPS).
When the boss had 20% HP the other mage did a lot of damage (53% compare my 47%).

Conclusions: I think both build are good for Raids can really say with one is belter.

BTW Armory link

The disparity in the builds shows more and more as your gear gets better.

Anobix, your remark about the hit cap kinda confused me. I do not mean to flame u or anything but what does hit cap got to do with choosing 2/48/11 or 2/47/12? You might think that if youre hit capped you don't need the 3 points in frost in stead of some points in arcane?

Cheers

Most raiding builds put at least 3 points into frost to get elemental precision. That is one of the easiest ways to get 3% spell hit (saves me from gemming an additional 38 spell hit to be capped).

When he posted the first build it wasn't posted correctly so I was unable to check against what was there. Both of the builds that you mention pretty much has free points (3 I believe) to be spent, as it generally goes 0/47/11 + 3 to be spent where you want (many people do arcane subtlety for threat reduction incase they are creeping they can continue dpsing.

Again, depending on your overall gear, if you have all t4/t5 or equivalent gear (I would assume 900 + unbuffed damage, spell hit capped, approximately 20% untalented crit [not necessary, but helpful]) then the 10/48/3 or 2/47/11 would be the best dps spec.

I test 40/21/0 again and its rock, I did very good dmg on Heoric then. but the real test is a raid boss, once I will do it I will post result.
