Minor combat build questionFollow

Hello,

I am at level 65 at the moment and have some questions regarding my future level 70 build.

This is what I have worked out so far:

Planned build at 70

It is not that different from what I have now if you check my armory, but here is what I am not sure about:

1. Should I leave out Vile Poisons and rather go Ruthlessness/full Improved Kick and Lethality (like 19/42/0)? I like Vile Poisons but I dunno if it is worth it and how much I miss out if I leave out Ruthlessness.

2. Is Improved Eviscerate worth it? I have heard either side, from "awful finisher" over to "essential". I use it a lot now but I do not know about after 70 so I am unsure.

3. Do I need points in Improved Kick at all or are they better spent somewhere else? I use Kick a lot, I am just not sure if the 2 seconds silence is worth it.

If you have any other hints, feel free to throw them at me too. ^.-

Thanks for all the help from this forum so far already, I learned a lot just from reading your advice here.

Rupture and Envemon become the two main finishers at 70.. also, 1 point in Imp Kick (just for PvP perposes really...)

2nd thing...... you've gone for Murder with Imp Evis.....yuck....

2% damage is nothing, complete waste of talent points......

To prove it... Lets look...... If you do a 1000 point Evis (for example) your 2 talent points are gonna give you.......... 20 damage. 1020! OMGWTFBBQPWN! >_>

Also... IMP SPRINT 2/2?!!?!!?! Imp Sprint is for Full PvP builds only.... especially 2/2........ You've got 10% chance to resist fear and stun, you've got Endurance.... 1/2 Imp sprint + 1/2 Endurance is Ok.. but not 2/2 Imp Sprint. (imo)

I would put the Murder points into Ruthlessness (will provide more than 2% damage overall)
Drop a point in Vile Poisons to finish Lethality 5/5

If you don't think you'll be using Evis much later end-game put the points from Imp Evis into Murder, but otherwise Imp Evis > Murder (If you use Evis)

Somthing like this

(Switching out Imp Evis to Murder for Personal preferance)

EDIT: Just to clarify, the 2 sec silence on Kick is for things like Blink and annoying instant cast stuff.

Yes, but in a raid where you pull out 1,000,000 it'll give you 20000 extra, which is 1,020,000, a Nice boost I think.

EDIT :: lol, my maths sucks :<

Thank you all a lot!

To explain a few things about some talents, I do some battlegrounds now and then, which is why I took Improved Sprint, it just seemed very helpful there, also for the occasional ganking attempt and stuff, I just hate being immobilised. Same with Improved Kick basically, just that it is pretty clear now that I really don't need the 2 sec silence.

About Murder, I heard from a lot of people who seem rather experienced that it just sounds like a measly talent but indeed is useful. And most of the level 70 rogues I have checked chose to spec into it aswell, I am just going to assume that it is worth it. ^.-

Thank you all for the advice, I am thinking pretty hard on Theo's suggested build, it makes a lot of sense. >.>

Sprint is pretty useless in PvP unless you put talents into it. If you intend to do any pvp'ing at all, I'd recommend taking it.

Eviscerate isn't horrible so much as rarely used. It's just that Rupture ignores armour, and will consistently deal the advertised damage. Eviscerate might deal only have of what it says it does. So long as you're sure it will run its timer, Rupture is better, and thus imp. Eviscerate is a little useless end-game, especially compared to Ruthlessness. Ruthlessness and Relentless Strikes are practically the only reasons to go 11 points into Assassination.

Murder is great. Murder is +2% damage straight up, can't argue that.

FTFY, because you really don't have a clue.

Please read, then start posting advice when you have end game experience. Thanks.

How can anyone not like a straight up 2% damage increase...?

Eviscerate is the de facto backup for Rupture on raid bosses that do not bleed, or on trash that will die before your rupture will tick fully. Envenom is generally a bad choice on trash since a 5 stack isn't likely if the raid is burning the mob down in < 10 seconds.

In pvp it isn't so bad against enemies that you need to burn quickly and can instantly wipe a bleed, like a frost mage. Since they can't heal themselves and will just ice block your poison and bleed, evis won't be affect too much by their cloth armor.

It's not totally useless, but rupture is definately far superior.
