As the Subject says, I hit lvl 41 and have already gotten my mount, so now I am starting to collect any new armor that may be good for me at lvl 41. I have pretty good armor that is leather and some pieces that I have probably won't be replaced for a while (ex. - archer's trousers of the monkey are Agi+10 and Sta+10, not the best but pretty good), I would like to know what stuff I can start trying to get in instances or be looking for on the AH. I have been running Uldaman, Scarlet Monastary, Razerfen Downs (but not Kraul yet), and intend to run more.

Any help you can give me would be appreciated. I know that I don't have to switch over to mail right away but would like to get to a complete mail armor set-up by 45 or so if possible. I have included a link to the armory so you can see my equipment and get a better idea. Thanks.

you're on the right track with your gear, except Herod's shoulders. Get rid of them. That's shammy gear. Str does absolutely nothing for hunters. They may be blue-quality, and they look freaking awesome, but other hunters recognize them immediately and chuckle at you behind your back.

Let's see. As for gear that you can get from instances... Uldaman is a good place for hunters. I was so upset when I was running through it a few weeks ago to work up my gun skill, and every.single.boss dropped gear that I would have killed for at that level. SM doesn't have as many hunter items, and I'm not sure about Razorfen. My suggestion would be to download Atlas Loot Enhanced, and look at all the instances you're in range of. That's one add-on that I simply couldn't live without. Oh, and get all the quests for gnomergon, too. There are some quest-reward pants that you get for killing the final boss there. They're leather, but a lot of hunters wear them for a loooong time.

As for the AH... if it's an upgrade, and the price isn't gouged, get it. by time I was level 45, I was able to have a full matching set of armor that all had Monkey, Falcon, or of Agility. It should be easier to find a full set now that of Power is useful.

Just remember, unless you're doing a lot of heavy PvP, it doesn't matter if you still have a few leather pieces. In low-level PvE, our armor is mostly just there for the stats.

Thanks for your advice. I already have Atlas Loot and use it quite often, just wasn't sure if there was an instance that was good to run but I didn't know about. I have actually created a wishlist from Atlas Loot for the instance that I need to run for which item (I know Atlas Loot has that, but I can't seem to find where is tells me what instance the item in my wish list is from, it just tells me it is in my wishlist).

As for the +str, I was aware that +str didn't do anything for Hunters but they were the best shoulders I could find at the time. And as for the Gnomer quest pants, I think you are talking about the Trip Runner Dungarees, and yes they are all kinds of awesome. My problem is that I can't get anyone to go all the way through Gnomer with me. Every pt I have ever gone with down there feel apart before the first boss. Will get it one day, hopefully before they are useless to me.

Thanks for the feedback.

altho i understand that and why you want to run the many instances while you level my recomendation would have to be to run them once and be over with it.
Especialy as a hunter you really dont have any need to constantly upgrade your equipment as you can level very efficiently even with subpar gear. And with the new fast leveling system 20-60 you are likely to have outgrown the dungeon drops by the time you get them.

like i said i fully understand wanting to see them and i do think you should try to squeeze atleast 1 run i most of the instances but other than to just experince them the unfutunatly isnt much reason to run them anymore :(

Forgive my ignorance, I just started playing again after a 5 month hiatus so I am not sure what fast lvling system you are talking about. If you would fill me in I would appreciate it. Also, thanks for the advice. I am primarily looking for weapons and armor to make my lvling and killing go faster, and have been doing Uldaman a lot to get the Grimlock spear and the gun drop in there.

Blizzard made an update recently that lowered the required xp to level up and slightly boosted the xp gained from quests, to help make leveling alts or new players faster from levels 20 to 60.

"of the bandit" > "of agility" > "of the monkey" > dont bother

There is no real need to go for mail over leather as a hunter while leveling, unless you PvP a lot or something.. the gear that is best to get to facilitate easier leveling is the gear that makes you kill stuff faster, and anything else is fluff.

Dont run instances over and over and over and over again for gear that you can easily replace with greens in a couple of levels time.
