Theo - you said that improving the damage and removing positional req's would NOT improve mut's viability? I am pretty sure that is the definition of improving the spec - more damage, and damage in the face. How does this not improve mutilate? I am still mut and would enjoy it just to get rid of that 'must be behind your target' msg I get on mobile bosses or when our tank needs to kite.

It may help in PvE, but mut isn't intended as a PvE build.

Mut's problem is mobility in PvP. That's not something easily fixed.

BTW, if you can't get behind a boss in raids, you should stop raiding. Your tanks should hate you for getting parries.

If you don't know why, you shouldn't be raiding either.

All I was saying is removing the position req. would be an upgrade to mut, period. I agree that there's still a pvp mobility issue, and the stun effects on maces > burst muti dmg, etc.

You have a lot of knowledge to share in this game, and it's appreciated, but it doesn't behold the fact that you sound so desparate when trying to sound pompous. I enjoy raiding, we are just now starting kara, and you can suck my balls.

Kara != raiding. You can chain pull pretty much everything in there and only rest at the bosses.

And Theo, when I said Resil nip Mut I meant exactly what you said, Seal Fate pushes itemization towards Crit, Resilience pushes it the other way. Sinister Calling is a nice bonus and a % scale on AGI which rewards more than just Crit, SF isn't going to start rewarding more than 1 CP if you break a certain threshold.

Ok, getting behind someone in pvp is easy, hence removing the positional requirement is a non-issue, not a buff. Buffs improve the ability, and since using mut is just as easy with the position req as without, you can't call that a buff. If you can't get in melee range because you are being kited (FF does little to help when chilled/hamstrung), then your awesome non-positional mutilate becomes worthless. The "Must be behind target" message is a result of latency and bandwidth delay than actual game mechanics 90% of the time.

Having it be non-positional would be helpful for boss fights like lurker, but a buff for 1 fight out of all the BC bosses is a stretch. Being behind your target in pve is even easier than pvp. The only "mobile boss" i can think of is hydross, who moves a grand total of 10-15 yrds at a snail's pace. If you don't like Theo's advice perhaps you should read and lurk more.

Sorry to be the boy who cried wolf on this one boys. I thought I had "inside" info on a mut buff coming our way. I guess I learned my lesson, don't believe every "leak" you hear.
