Hi,

My hubby has recently stopped playing WoW and so now I have been playing his hunter a bit. I read that a scorpid's poison can tick for huge amounts on raid boss fights but that it is all based upon the first hit.

Can anyone provide more details regarding how to make the scorpid poison sting tick for more - is it technique, stats, talents, trinkets?

Thanks in advance.

Scorpid Poison was nerfed in like... 2.2. It no longer ticks for very much at all.

It used to be that the poison scaled with your current AP, and that each time it was refreshed it took either your current AP or the AP that was in effect for the debuff currently up there, whichever was higher. You could pop trinkets, Blood Fury, and whatever else to get the initial stack ticking for 600 or more and it would never drop below that provided it didn't actually drop off from not being refreshed. Now, each new application/refresh takes into account your *current* AP.
