Hey me & my friend are both prot and just dinged 70 and we just came accros to think that what we do some arenas? I know prot is not PvP spec but I am bored to use these regular settings and wanna use something else... and the thing is that I don't like arms style.I like more prot. As prot I know we could beat easily as rogue teams, but think what I am not sure is casters. I know if the compo is prot & healer its sucks but how about when both are prot?

I think it will be rough starting out. Protection, believe it or not, can dish out some damage. The problem is I don't think you'll be able to outlast a lot of combinations that already have +Resilience PvP gear, as the Prot Pally/Prot Warrior spec will be an outlast through lower DPS.
Make sure if you do this, that you both use Shields, especially you. Shield Slam actually does very nice damage (I'm poorly geared and I crit over 1200 and average 550-650 on non-crits). But overall, I think this combo will be very gear dependent. But I think once you're both geared up well (maybe do some AV and get a few S1 pieces first before running rated matches?) you have a good chance to be a group that will be hard to "kill before being killed".

the problem with prot in arenas, for warriors anyway, is that the stat used to get more damage from prots main skill isnt present on the warrior pvp set. so stacking resilience (which is necessary in pvp to survive) means stacking the pvp set, which means little-to-no block, which means weaksauce shield slams.
sure, you could dual wield devastate, but then youre just a weird version of fury, only without all the good fury stuff.
youll destroy any melee teams however, possible exception including something with a feral druid in it (since bleeds ignore armor and they can heal to a degree).

You can easily defeat melee dps-only teams.
If you run across a team with a healer, you will lose. If you run across a team with skilled casters, you will lose. While a dual-prot team may have a lot of survivability, your DPS is so low that you never actually kill anyone.
