I'm a raiding Ret Pally with decent gear. The problem is, 4 pieces of it is PvP gear, which is the best I could find. Now, we've all heard that in 2.4, some itemization is going to be 'fixed', or 'changed'.
Now, my question is if I got some tier 4 or 5 later on before the patch, will they change my gear come patch time? Or will they leave it alone and leave me with another crappy piece of spell damage? I'm thinking it's the former...

i remember when i had the rank 10 pvp gear. then they updated a bunch of stats and you had to buy the updated pieces. all of the pieces had the same name but different stats. i was BS they hadnt just overlayed the update onto my pieces, cuz this was back when you had to grind your *** off for your ranks and i had drop to rank 8 because of MC/BWL raiding.
so, if they make us 'rebuy' the 2.4 stuff ima shard everthing and say my account was stolen.

gotta say, i'm looking forward to seeing how the changes turn out. S3 was an awesome move for PVP ret pallies. can't wait to see similar boosts for PVE rets.
Heh. Got my tier 4 token and picked up the Ret piece. Major upgrade from the A'dal Brestplate. Gemmed it, enchanted it, and I have a lot more mana now due to the 3 int and 6 stats. Gained some AP, and gained some hit. Overall, a good buy. (I'm going to get the prot chest from badges.)
