I just wonder...

When you are doing heroics/normals you often come across a locked chest.

How many of you actually say sorry I dont have my LP trained and then come back in later to secretly lockpick the darn thing?

My self I never do it, think Im to damn honest to be a rogue :P

Nope. Usually if I do say that, I really do not have the LP for it. But considering I'm maxed now and everyone I usually run instances/dungeons with knows this, it's kind of hard to say that I don't have the LP for it.

You would be screwed if someone armory'd you though since they can see what skill levels you are at.

it's usually not worth doing it. you're spending x amount of time for a random chest when you could be spending 10-15 min to get 9-22g from your daily. I will however get a friend whom I ran with to keep the instance active if I go there on my non rouge char so I can peek inside.

Actually it's really weird but the armory shows lockpicking at maxed for me and probably everyone else, but I'm only at 264 I think. It's under Class Skills, which shows everything maxed, with no ###/375 like the professions have. Seems like something the armory should show too. Someone asked me about my level offline once to see how much farther I had until 250 and I remember looking it up and saying "Well crapballs, I have no idea. But my Darnassian is at 300."

Oh and to answer the question, I wouldn't bother. Whenever I open a chest there's a 99% chance of it being mana pots and beverages. Just like whenever my clothie tailor husband opens one it contains leather.
