So we killed Hydross last night, and http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30055 dropped. I had received http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30149 a couple of weeks ago. Not having Excel on my comp to pop up the spreadsheet, I just used the AEP calculator on the EJ forums.
According to my calculations, I got 175(rounded) for the t5 shoulders, and 190(rounded) for the Shoulderpads of the Stranger. We still use loot council atm until next week(instituting DKP), and one of the officers actually had the audacity to call me a loot *****, after I said I'd take them if they weren't a major upgrade for anyone else.
Since I only have 1 piece of t5, hence no set bonus, does anyone think that I'm in the wrong for asking for it?

I don't think so. If no one wants it, then why can't you take it? Seriously, as for me being an enchanter, I'll take whatever I can that no one else will take. As simple as that.
Best shoulders until... T6 maybe? Expertise is incredibly good - best stat for any melee dps bar none. I'm surprised others didn't take them, they're best-in-slot for enhance shammies, ret pallies, and possibly dps warriors. So no, you're not a loot *****, you're just smart.

This kind of stop pisses me off when people call you a loot ***** because no one else wanted it.
As a enchanter I am sick and tired of this kinda crap. For example...
the other I was doing a heroic and all the drops no one really needed except for a few of course. So I ask if I can have the drops that give healing or other stuff for Priest they said yes.
I got all the items that give Priest stats and D/E because I had better stuff.. so they want me to give them the mats I got from the items.. maybe they should of went enchanter at lv10 or so and not complain for not being one. Guess from now on I do the D/E after a heroic since people cry to much for their shards.

If you are going to be DE'ing them you ask "Can I have some items to DE?"
not "Can I have all items useful to a priest" Because that insinuates that you are going to be wearing the actual item.

There is a difference between wanting something, and needing something. All the players want all the items, because even if you can't use or DE them, you can still vendor them for some gold.
Being an enchanter doesn't give you more rights to get the items. Usually, if there is an enchanter in a party, he'll DE the items that nobody needs and then players roll for the shards.
