I respecced for the first time to a full Balance spec with something like 47/0/14 - and I must say it is so much fun. Last night while doing my daily quests in Netherwing I was actually laughing aloud at how quick those beasts in the cave were going down. I mean the starfire -> moonfire -> wrath would sometimes have them dead in a matter of 3 seconds.

After finishing my dailies I decided to try out some PVP (I was resto till now) and lo and behold I looked at my armor and saw 11,100 and just shook my head with a smile on my face. I've heard of the saying "Mage with Plate" but never realized what they meant till this moment.

If you haven't tried it yet - give it a shot, it's a Blast.

As a side note - I have a 70 lock and priest also, seeing those 3000 or 3200 starfire hit consistently was just plain out and out fun. Best I've gotten on my lock for shadowbolt crit was 2800 and that is a rare thing.

Kitely - Moonrunner

28,000 Crit? Craziness!!! I have seen videos of Boomkins crit'ing 14k consistantly but 28K is a milestone for sure. Good thing I am only playing my 60 boomkin druid (47/0/14 Build) and my 44 Warlock. Guess I have some crit's to look forward to!

Amplified Curse of Doom could do 28,000 damage as long as it's timed to happen during evocate. another reason locks can soak the hateful bolts. easy to get 2nd in threat.

I killed a 69 horde Moonkin twice today at BG. And I'm a 68 feral druid.
But I will agree that it was his own fault, he was a freacking bad player.

Ok, with that vented, Moonkins are great indeed. Have some at my guild, and love them.

Ugh, I hate fighting feral druids as a Moonkin. They can debuff my armour, roots is near useless against them to keep off me...they're the paper to my rock >.<

I must admit, I am feral and love going up against moonkins, they are really pretty easy kills for feral.

28,000 - /Drool

Yeah I always like the curator fight, as someone above mentioned the evocation phase with Curse of Doom + Amplified curse you see some just awesome numbers.

Wow. 28k? Not 18k maybe? My best is 15k+ and my normal ones hit for around 7.2k (in raids of course). The nice part is seeing 33k + CoDs on Curator or Spite :D

Edit: Oh yeah - regarding Boomkins. Like someone said above - wait til you see 4k+ crits in raids and I can easily see someone getting 12k crits on Curator with a good group make up. Even in my crappy gear I can hit 10k crits there.

I love targeting Boomkins in BG's :) They are such a big, obvious target. I do feel a little bit bad about specifically targeting a fellow druid, but they are dirty alliance so I guess it is alright. :)

Oh yes, being a Moonkin during the Curator fight is big fun. First time I ever fought him, I scored my first 7k Wrath crit. Last time I fought him, I scored my first string of 5 such crits in a row. It were big fun.

Also fun is scoring those massive Starfire crits on a flare and having a good few seconds to regen mana between the death of that flare and the spawning of the next one.

I love moonkins, I just don't like the playstyle. I like the 'in your face' style of melee DPS. Also just so happens that a feral druid can also tank, which I don't mind doing and have on numerous occasions saved wipes by assuming the MT position when the MT goes down. That never gets old.

If your having a lot of trouble as a moonkin against feral druids you need to use hibernate/cyclone better.

lol, any feral druid paying the least bit of attention to the moonkin he's fighting will never get hibernated.

Not to mention even if he does happen to get a hibernate off the moment he attacks you it is gone, and cyclone stops you, but makes you invincible too, so you won't take damage there, those 2 things only prevent the inevitable beatdown by the feral.

but through hibernate/cyclone u can get range and get off a starfire/moonfire combo for shure on the druid...and thats a lot of damage

Cyclone and then start casting starfire, so it lands' right when the cyclone is over is a pretty nice combo. It's just not nearly enough to beat through my massive amounts of hitpoints in bear form :D

i am full afll and my sb hit normal for nearly 3k.

i loved raiding with a boomkin in my group 35% sb crits chance ftw, cant wait to repay the favor to other rerolled druids on casters
