I am a 38 Hunter and am starting to farm for my lvl 40 mount. And I wanted to know if you guys had any suggestion on places to farm. I am a skinning/mining profession so I have been in the Badlands and made some decent money but wonder if there is a place that is quicker.
Also, at my lvl what places (instances, or areas with Hunter quests that give good drops) that I need to be going to. I haven't done many instances and am wanting to get some of my gear through quests and instances rather than buying it. I have heard that Strangle Thorn Vale has a good quest line for Hunters but can't seem to figure out which one it would be.
Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The rock elementals in Badlands, right next to the horde city Kargath, give great trash drops that vendor for a lot, and is a great place to grind for money for your mount.
The quest that you are thinking of is this one, and the rewards are a bow or a gun. The first quest starts at this guy, and has you complete challenges that require you to kill different mobs, killing certain numbers of easy, then medium, then harder mobs, finally ending with an elite for each.

Thanks for the help. Are there any instances that would have good drops for me to have either right now or when I get to 40?
Most any elemental circle in Arathi Highlands will provide endless mobs, few other wandering mobs to annoy you, and decent drops and exp.
at close to 40, SM is not bad to pick up some new Mail pieces. Not really hunter but nearly as good and twice the armor. Lots of greens also.
Check the prices for spider silk on your server.
On my server you can pay for a mount with two stacks which takes about 2 hours to farm.
