Question for twink shammyFollow

Wondering if I can talk to a level 49 twink enchancment shammy about gear, stats extra. Having never played a shammen I'm basically in the dark when it comes to stats to get. Obviously being kinda sorta like a feral druid I need agility, strength, stam, and intellect but still in the dark. I know it's an odd request seeing as I've never played a shammen, but friend and I are dual rolling em to have some fun. Yeah I do know that I'm going to get yelled at for asking about twinks, but oh well I'll deal.

I don't know if I can post my email/AIM name but I'm going to (remove this if I can't post em)

I can't remember all the gear that I was using at the time when I did a lot of pvp at the lvl 49 range. I know I did use the icemail jerking with +100 hp and usually DW wirt's third leg and hammer of the northern wind. I went cheap and put firey damage on both weapons.I was uing pretty much this set up with my talents. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/shaman/talents.html
A lot of people will tell you that 2 handers are the way to go in pvp for the burst damage. It really works well when WF procs, especially if it crits. However, I'm just a bigger fan of DW. I usually ran with WF on both weapons.
As far as stats go, Str should be your numberone priority. 1 str = 2 ap
The more ap you have, the more damage you will do with not only mele attacks, but also with spells. Mental quickness will convert a % of your ap into +spell dmg and +healing. After str, I would go for more STA for survivability, then agi then int.

cheers man, I was was told that by another in person in my guild today. I finally found an armory with better twink gear. Also my friend recomended that I get both DW and 2h. I'm not against this...but paying for 3x epic, sav and mongoose x2 is well expensive. I guess a question to follow that with is, can you still switch weps in combat. IE can I use both DWing and 2h. If that is possible, what would be the best way to dual those?

Finally started leveling my shaman = ). Finally starting to understand the class a bit more, so I'm not a complete and utter noob.

Random question, how is leveling ench past 20, and how is 70 pvp as ench?

You don't have to pay for 3x epics. Soulkeeper, 50g, best 49 twink 2-hander there is at that level for a shammy.

Yes, you can switch weapons in combat, though it triggers a global cooldown.

As for leveling enhance, it's going pretty smoothly for me. Almost level 29. it's no hunter, but it's still pretty easy. I'm going to assume it gets a ton better once Windfury enters the picture.

well i plan on pvping as ench so i figure Kang the decapitator(sp?) flury axe, and the blue one with +10 attack power (with +30 attackpower buff) along with mongoose on both 1hs and sav on the 2h. I've seen videos with that kinda sorta set up and the damage is quite nice, 500 attack power, 16% crit, and 3k health is nice if I'm right.

Thanks to the posters, I know twink posts are thought of well

What weapon buff would you use with Flurry Axe if you are DWing them? Most everyone says that the best buff combo is WF/WF. However, those same people say that you should use weapons with 2.6 speed. This is due to the 3 second hidden cooldown on WF procs. Also, since you only receive 1/2 damage on off hand weapon attacks and the lower damage cap on Flurry Axe, you aren't going to be getting huge hits/crits. I'm assuming, you will be frost shocking and dropping earth bind totems to limit your enemies movement, I would say that you won't be using the frostbrand buff. I believe the added dps from rockbiter is lowered by your opponents armor. So that leaves flametoung. That would give you good steady dps that bypasses armor, but has a chance to be resisted.
If you decided to DW Flurry Axes, please let me know how it goes. I was very tempted to spend the gold on a pair at that level, but decided to save up for my epic mount instead. I would be interested to know how they perform.

To Kel:

I just used "sandbox" from wowcrafter.net (GREAT THING CHECK IT OUT) and DW I get significantly lower crits DW, like you said, so I will be using Kang, due to the fact that the crits are massive (2.2k WF and 700EarthShock). I think the frost was like 600 too.

Heres my sandbox: http://www.warcrafter.net/sandbox/27249

Obviously I might have missed gear, so feel free to recomend anything

I would take Kang and only two hand. PVP is about unpredictability (hard to heal against) and a two hander (especially the heavy Kang) is very very good for that. Dual wielding gives less spiky damage which isn't as good for PVP (though dps is higher). And besides, enemies won't stand still (although sometimes you would wish for that), so every chance you have to hack at them, it better be a chopped-of arm or leg and not a lot undeep cuts.

Besides if you do not take dual wield you can use those talent points elsewhere.

Sample talents: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hxbZxVfzV0si0o

Improved earth bind in elemental tree is personal preference.. it is THE totem you will use a lot, so improving it does not hurt at all. Cheaper shocks are necessary because your mana will not be sky high.

Edit: added link to sample talents.
