Druids on healing meters (25 man help)Follow

#1 Feb 05 2008 at 11:03 AM Rating: Good
Only question's i have is.
1: should a druid win on healing meters?
2: Is there a mod to help druid's heal in 25 mans.(i already have grid)
ANY tips on helping me lower my overheal and improve my healing in general would be great. But im in a pretty well geared BT guild and i cant seem to keep up with alot of the pally's/priest's.
Im not running out of mana, i have 1875+healing 503 mp5 while buffed.
my ping to the server is about 200 most of the time.
is there a good spell rotation or....?
What im realy looking for is a good mod to help me out, i know alot of pally's and priest's use mods, is there a good on for druid's?
Thanks

A grid mod along with clickcasting is about it. I use a mod called Klik but it doesn't seem to be being supported anymore so I would probably avoid moving to it.

Some sort of mod that shows how many stacks of lifebloom are on the target (I haven't found this yet) as well as showing when the HoT is about to run out (the grid in Klik does this) is also very useful.

I haven't put too much effort into setting up my healing stuff as I am feral 95% of the time.

I use Dottimer which is incredibly useful. It records all your HoT's on each individual target, including the # of blooms and when they will run out down to the tenth of a second. You can also choose to record things lasting up to an hour. But that gets kinda old looking at 25x MoW sprawled down the side of your screen. I personally don't show anything beyond 30seconds I believe.

Where you place on the meters depends on the fight and what your assignment is. Remember what matters is to beat the boss, so if you sacrifice some overall healing to make sure the tank stays up it's usually worth it (for me, Morogrim was a good example of this). Spending a global cooldown Lifeblooming someone else can sometimes mean you don't have it to Swiftmend when the tank takes 15k damage in ~1s.

Most of the time though, I didn't find it too difficult to get #1. It's also the most fun and least stressful healer imo. You don't have to sit there and react to drops in health then hope your heal "beats" everyone else. Just maintain a couple stacks of Lifeblooms and Rejuvs and you're good to go, though that does mean you have to be aware of when they need to be refreshed.

When I quit there were no really good HoT addons that a) showed stacks b) showed only your HoTs c) allowed you to customize how the bars appear/vanish and whether they reorder (based on remaining duration, for example) or stay fixed. I've tried DoTimer, NECB, HoTCandy, and more but they were all unsatisfactory in some way. I can't remember what I ended up using, possibly HoTCandy.

I'm number 4 on that meter but I have ~200 less +healing than ANY of the healers and up to 350 less than others.

Druid at the top there is our guildmaster. One of the best healers I have ever seen. He has ~2k +healing though :P

Our assignments where as follows. Absmilliard raid healing on trash, me on main tank. VR was Absmilliard on tanks and me on rogues (we let them stay in for pounding).

Our guild is just starting TK/SSC with only a handful of VR and Lurker kills and a couple of attempts at hydross.
