Who do you love to Kill?Follow

#1 Feb 05 2008 at 10:31 AM Rating: Decent
Hi all, my 1st post. I read and use this forum all the time. Thank you all for your posts.

Thought this might be a fun question to blog on. Who do you love to kill? What class/race/gender/etc and why?

As a 70 warrior who runs Bg's consistently, my absolute favorite kill is a paladin. Since there really is no such thing as a twink at 70, my loath for hunters and rogues from earlier BG's has faded and two new classes have risen to the top of my frustration list.

After encountering it for 100 times or more, I still cant get over how it feels to have my big 2hander raised over my rage-filled head and with an execute green-light, I swing and then >>> the BUBBLE. ARRRRGGHHHH!!! Is that ability ever on cool down or what? But just once in a while, I'll get em. And it feels so damn good when it happens, sometimes I'll just sit there, light a smoke and glow in the moment while getting blasted from all sides until dead.

The other contender is the druid. Last night I chased a guy across all of WSG and into the his Flag Room just to pull it off. Had to be done.

And, of course, as a Horde, any gnome regardless.

Rogues who try n use their "jumpyjumpy run-around-in-circles" tactics.

Although they do turn me into a clicker, as i hold down the "move backwards" button against them so their jumping and circle running doesnt get behind me and keeps them in attack range

oh and also Scarlet commander mograine..

I also like warlocks, a lot seem to waste time trying to fear me.

EDIT 1: tried to fix link
EDIT 2: again..
EDIT 3: ***** it.

I think it's fun to hamstring/stun/disarm those jumpy rogues and watch them slow to a crawl as they get hit with a nice MS crit. It warms the cockles of my heart.

Gotta admit ... dropping rogues feels the most satisfying ... with all those stuns thrown at me and the jumping around and what-not.

Stun-lock me, it's cool ... he'll make a mistake, or it'll break sooner or later, or I'll get a quick zerker rage / trinket in, whatever ... something will break their stun cycle, at which stage, I've still got 75% of my health left (lol - after 10-15 seconds of rogue dagger frenzy .. plate and big HP pool ftw) ... then he's mine ...

Normally it takes the second 2.5k crit to make him realise he's not gonna win, at which stage it's too late ... he's going down.

It's the best feeling ... dunno .. maybe cos a rogue is my natural competition for a Melee DPS place in instance runs .. I feel that much better when I kill one ;-)

I get the most satisfaction out of 2 classes: Rogues and mages.

Rogues because I really get pissed off withthose sneaky bastards and mages because they kill me about 19 times out of 20. Really satisfactory when I get my revenge.

Sorry not a warrior. But I am looking around the help a buddy of mine and look for pointers for his warrior.. But thought this was a fun thread. Having a rogue and a mage.. I have to say on my rogue I HATE warriors and pallies.. Argh It sucks when you got that warrior stun locked and all you see is his rage increasing faster then his heath is dropping. Bummer! Then he turns around and I go ****!!!!! My mage, I go eh a ally worrior this should go quick.. until he reflects my ice blast and im slowed haha. No more kite.

Just because I can.. DPS warriors suck!!! haha i hate when im in lfg and there is a warrior, and he says need dps... ARGH, then ofcourse I gotta tell him something like were full or need cc.. but really what does a DPS specced warrior bring to the table? No CC, No Damage, Maybe, Maybe off tank if needed but, with no threat reduction just more trouble then needed. Same with ret pallies... but they bring a buff...

Sorry to step on toes.. but my 2 cents. :D

Technically, Offtanking is a form of CC.

So do warriors. Commanding shout? Battle shout? Two warriors means you get both.

No Damage

A decent fury warrior will bring damage. He wont be topping the charts, but it will be there.

Two other things I feel the need to add.
1) If the sh*t hits the fan and your tank dies, guess who can throw up the sword and board and tank? Thats right. The fury warrior.
2) Using little punctuation and ... alot does not make your post easier to read, nor does it make you look smarter, you just look like an idiot. GTFO

Oh, yes. My favorite class to kill. Locks, cuse its so easy. And of course
healadins and mages.

anything thats a gnome. /shudder

Aww did I hurt your feelings?

Agreed but if you need a offtank/cc for a normal instance bring a druid or a mage haha!

Good point! If the warrior uses it.. And how does that help casters?

Just like any player you pug with you will never know how well they are. I actually pug'd a DPS warrior for heroic Ramps the other day. The main tank was doing good but it was a bad pull and no cc got off. We got all but one mob down and the healer was trying to get the group up and the tank died. Guess what the dps warrior did. RAN FOR IT.

This is only my opinion. I am sorry if I hurt your ego. Sorry if it was hard to read but, I can see you got the point! Thank you for your great inputs but it doesnt change how I personaly feel about dps warriors! Again im just a lonely dps'r so I dont have much say on who is in a group unless im the one getting the group together. So with that said GTFO yourself :D

So you've grouped with bad fury warriors. Doesn't mean all of them are bad.

I dont know how many times I have saved a heroic wipe because I put on the Sword and board. I have also thrown up the sword and board to only find out the healer obviously didn't know I was tanking, and we wiped. >.<

I know everyone has their gripes about a fury warrior, but to be honest, the fury warrior not topping the meters in your 5 man group is a waste of space imo. With that said, I'm normally on the top, primarily number 1. The only people who have given me a run for my money is a mage, lock, and 1 hunter. Other than that...not even close. But I dont really care about the meters as long as everyone pulls their own weight. Warriors I know aren't the most sought after class when you have 1 slot to fill, but they're not all bad. Most just don't know how to raid fury spec imo.

Speaking of meters, I raided with a retardin and he barely did more damage than the prot warrior lol! Needless to say he was told to spec back to a healadin (which he actually had the gear for) and did ok.

Oh, I like to kill locks, hunters, and BOOMKINS (FFS!). I don't PvP as MS, so it makes things a little more interesting. To make things even more fun, I dont have any PvP gear, I use straight PvE gear...mmmmhhh Yummy!! After kills I love to cannibalize!

Rogues, closly followed by priests (of any type). I went to a Catholic school so laying the smack-down on priests helps vent old frustrations.

I like fighting rogues because it's so easy to defeat them.

Other than that, I'd have to say that killing resto druids is my main source of entertainment. Oftentimes it backfires, but when it doesn't, it makes me crack a smile and rejoice.

I also like killing hunters, warriors, and other forms of druids. Maybe because I play those classes so I know how to beat them? I still can't figure out how to beat frost mages or priests...

Hey xpress, your a little late with a your rebuttal. No, you didn't hurt my ego, but you did step into the warrior forum and try to smash us. I felt the need to argue the warrior point.

Commanding shout helps the casters by giving them more life. Duh. Thats like saying, what does Power Word: Fortitude do for caster's?

And I've had mages who tried to pull with pyroblast.
But that one guy doesn't speak for the entire warrior community, most of us arnt tards who do that. And that doesn't mean im saying all mages are retards. Its all luck of the draw with pugs, but you do get good people who pug.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about battle shout, otherwise I agree with you entirely.
