strange macro bugFollow

I've been using the following macro:

/target [nogroup] pettarget
/cast [target=pettarget, exists] Kill Command
/cast [nocombat] Arcane Shot(Rank 1)
/stopcasting [nocombat]
/cast [nomod:alt, combat] Steady Shot;
/cast [mod:alt] Intimidation

I've encountered a strange bug with this. If I click the button too quickly and cast two steadies together without allowing an autoshot to fire, it will begin to /stopcast after every steady shot. So I am stuck firing steadies only, and autoshot never fires. The odd thing is, I break out of this by getting a critical hit with one of the steadies, triggering Kill Command. After that, autoshot will fire, I won't /stopcast, and the macro functions as intended.

I don't know if this is relelvant, but I only noticed this bug after installing Trinity Bars. I'd put the macro together very soon before, though, so it's possible I hadn't triggered the bug before installing the mod.

Any thoughts as to what could be wrong, and how I can fix it?

You have not included a command for Auto Shot, so it's no mystery that you're able to spam the macro and see no Auto Shots.

What exactly are you intending for this macro to do for you?

The macro does a couple things. If I'm out of combat, it will do a low threat pull - the "/cast [nocombat] Arcane Shot(Rank 1) /stopcasting [nocombat]" part.

If I'm soloing, it will autotarget my pet's target.

If Kill Command is ready, it will target my pet's target (if my pet is targeting anything) and cast KC.

If I hit alt, it will cast Intimidation.

But the usual use for it is just to use Steady Shot. If I am in combat and I have no modifiers pressed, it will simply fire a Steady Shot. In almost all cases, I can press this, wait for the Auto Shot to fire, press it again, wait for Auto Shot, repeat until dead.

The bug comes up when I press this, then I don't wait for Auto Shot to fire. If I press it too soon and my Auto Shot doesn't have a chance to go off before the Steady Shot cast time starts again, I will begin /stopcasting after every Steady Shot, until I get a crit and Kill Command can fire.

No idea why that is.

That is weird. Try changing:

/cast [nomod:alt, combat] Steady Shot;

to:

/castsequence [nomodifier:alt, combat] Steady Shot, !Autoshot

The last patch changed the macro system somewhat, so that abilities like Steady Shot will toggle Autoshot on and off unless you put a "!" in front of Autoshot.
