I'm coming back from a 2-year break and totally forget what add-ons to get. I've been told curse.com is the best place to get them, but what are some good ones specifically for hunters?

I remember having one that told me a beast's skills that I could learn from taming him in-game, without having to alt-tab and search Petopia all the time. That still exist?

Any other good ones would be much appreciated, thanks!

For the beast skills that's a spell in the game

Get:

Omen and quartz are probably the most important for threat management and a cast bar.

pitbull is an good unit frame addon.

I recommend going to wowace.com and getting their addon management tool

Don't spend too much time customizing addons before 2.4, as there is going to have to be a huge overhaul of almost all the addons due to combat log changes.

That's annoying. I can't find in there when 2.4 is due out? If I won't get past about 30 or 40 I might just wait and get the add-ons later.

It's annoying, yes. But it's worth doing anyway. Mods breaking over patches is a part of the game, and getting used to it as soon as possible will give you the familiarity you'll need at some point. So it may as well be now. Most mods just need to be reinstalled after a change, so you may as well get the use of them and get used to them sooner than later. If you put off playing with various mods you'll just push off to the future the point at which you've found the set you really like.

No matter what anyone says, we have no idea when 2.4 is coming out. There has as of yet been no official confirmation.

Go ahead and get the above mentioned mods if you so choose. There's no reason to wait just because they will break eventually.
