Raiding Woes - Please Help My Friend!Follow

#1 Feb 04 2008 at 8:47 AM Rating: Default
Ok, my friend is feeling kinda left out and sucky because his gear is'nt strong enough for tanking in Kara and other raids our guild is currently doing. To be honest I don't think his heart as ever really been in Feral - he was always Balance/Moonkin build before and only switched to Feral at level 70 because everyone was telling him "Dude, you should be Feral!"

So my question is what would be the viabiltiy of him going for an all out ranged DPS build ala Mage? I heard Balance is good for this. Whats the classic build for ranged spell attack? Will he ever be accepted as a Moonkin for raiding?

Can anyone link the classic or 'cookie cutter' build for this sort of thing?

Thanks.

P.S I should mention that our guild already has already got lots of tanks.

Cheers peeps! :)

I've not played much as moonkin, but from what I've read gear is going to be as important as the build. He'll need plenty of +spell dmg and mp5.

As for acceptance, that depends on the guild. My guild's policy is that people should spec what they want to play, and as long as they're not hopelessly undergeared we'll get them into Kara. I understand that "hard core" raiding guilds have different standards, but what's the point of playing a game in a way that's not fun for you?

While I think feral is the best druid build, he should play what he likes. If someone told me to switch to resto or balance I would tell them to take a hike. He should play the build he wants to play.
