Poisons on swordsFollow

I feel pretty stupid asking this question. I had always understood that you could only apply poisons to daggers but then in discussion with another rogue was told that poisons can be applied to swords and other weapons as well?

Can someone confirm the position please?

You can poison any weapon that you equip, except for ranged weapons.

Thank you for this its much appreciated. One other question just to put my mind at rest- I am right in thinking that in earlier patches you could ONLY put poisons on daggers? If so this must have been changed in one of the more recent patches?

Still feel a bit foolish!

I always thought it was weird that poisons on maces do anything. You aren't cutting them, how is the poison affecting them?

Maybe you hit them in the face, and it's an inhalant.

Just look at the PvP-maces. You ARE cutting them.

No. You've always been able to poison any weapon (minus ranged as said above) as long as I could remember.

Get yourself a chicken breast with the skin still on it and a meat tenderizer and experiment. The repeated bashing will end up breaking the skin. This would theoretically release the toxins into the flesh and therefore bloodstream.

I have way too much fun in the kitchen. ;)

And now I want to level maces for some wacky reason. Maces are for PvP, right? Hmmm... I guess I have to start liking PvP.
