1 post? hehe

I suggest you hit the FAQ, everything you need is there. Add ons, Shaman's friend, and totem timer are great. A level 29 could quest in 1k, start running SM, RFK, RFD.

A little low for RFD and SM, but they will be coming up soon.

Thousand Needles is the best place. Finish up any Ashenvale and Hillsbrad quests you still may have. Make sure to hit Shimmering flats in 1k needles as well, it helps bridge that 20's 30's gap that exists. As there are really no good zones for lower 30's except the beginning quests in Desolace and STV. And of course Desolace, STV, Arathi Highlands will be your main areas to quest in for the 30's.

As for totems I activate bottom left and bottom right action bar. Most of my commonly used totems are on my screen. The resist totems and lesser used totems are on my shift-2 bar. Shift 3 is my weapon buffs, and other miscellaneous buffs such as water walking. Shift 4 is my healing bar which I have up when I'm healing in raids/instances (I also have my 3 main heals bound to my mouse wheel). Shift 5 and 6 are on screen in the bottom left/bottom right action bar options. But there are totem mods, I don't actually use any. I probably should get totem timers when I start doing serious raiding. I'm only doing Kara right now, and Kara is pretty easy.

I suggest using Jame's leveling guide. He explains everything and it helps you level faster.

flototem bar is the best totem addon. It has 4 Mini-bars for each school (fire, water, air, earth) they are movable, the icons are smaller meaning more space and on the side of each bar is a totem timer.

edit : heres a screen shot i took. http://s233.photobucket.com/albums/ee92/catherinebeattyping/?action=view&current=WoWScrnShot_020408_092437.jpg

note how cool they look as well.

That's actually a little amusing. That add-on looks like the way I've manually organized my totems in my cast bars.

i put the bars like that, i never had enough room for all of my totems on the action bars, but with this i can.
