What's the armor cap for a feral druid?

We hit 75% mittigation from armor at around 32k, but that's from a lvl 70 mob, or?
I've read somewhere that the armor cap against a lvl 73 boss is 35.8k.

I'm currently at 35.5k so I'm close to the cap against a lvl 73 boss, but is that right, or can I switch some gear?

wowwiki FTW

Among loads of other information:
The armor caps for level 70-73 targets are as follows:
* 70 -- 31,672
* 71 -- 33,075
* 72 -- 34,477
* 73 -- 35,880

All in all, a very informative page that I should have read sooner. I'm sure you all knew this, but I learned, among other thing, that armor has seriously diminishing returns --- 25k armor reduces damage taken by 70%, and at 30k armor you're only reducing damage by an additional 3%. That equates to just under 3.5x time-to-live for 25k armor and 4x time-to-live for 30k armor.

Armor does not have diminishing returns in the way you are thinking. Going from 10000 armor to 11000 gives you exactly the same increase in time to live as going from 30000 armor to 31000 armor.

In fact, the more armor you have, the more useful it becomes. You should be at the armor cap as a feral druid tank. If someone tells you armor becomes less useful because of diminishing returns, they are wrong. Armor only becomes useless if it surpasses the armor cap.

Ah, I see your point, thanks for straightening out the silly ramblings of a non-math guy. It hadn't fully clicked that the damage mitigation chart had a curved line (indicating diminishing returns) and the time-alive chart had a straight line, showing NON-diminishing returns.

Since how long you'll live is ultimately the only thing that matters, the 'diminishingness' of the returns in terms of damage mitigation is a moot point.

I'll go get back to maxing out my armor now.
