I looked in the Priest FAQ but it didnt answer my question, Which is the best talent tree for lvling a priest, to lets say lvl 40?

What do you mean by best? Your talents should enhance the way you like to play, so do you like healing or do you like DPS? Or, do you like to do a little of each while being able to endure a long fight?

Standard practice is to level shadow, in which case you could do a lot worse than this shadow leveling build (assuming up to level 40). http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/priest/talents.html?0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000500250310230103050000
It is possible to level disc, in fact some people prefer it, not sure how you'd prioritise points in that build though.

If by best you mean fastest/easiest I would say put atleast 4 points into spirit tap in the shadow tree, then put the rest of your points into disc (starting with wand spec). In my experience, shadow tree isn't worth it in the beginning because you have alot less survivability and mana regen, and not enough damage to compensate for it.

Disc would also be more valuable in early lvl instances than a shadow build.

While that may be true, as a caster you could easily go into any instance up to about SMGY with no talents and completely naked and still do fine.

Disc is the survival spec - you won't die easily at all. Shadow is the damage spec, once you get Flay and especially once you start getting Weaving, Darkness, and SF, things speed way up. Holy is the instance-grinding spec, or for the person who doesn't mind spending as much time drinking as they do killing mobs.
