So the hourglass finally dropped for me tonight, but now I don't know if I should use it.
I am an SV hunter.
I recently set up a trinket rotation of Brooch + Rapidfire... Broch ends put up X ap trinket (200 ap over 10/12 sec 2 min cd?)... Wait for trinket cd's... Pop X ap trinket when up... Pop Brooch when rapid fire has 5 sec left on cd (Brooch has 20 sec while RF has 15 so that means I cans safely start it early.)... Pop Rapidfire when up... Repeat
But with hourglass I can only wait and possibly hit brooch whenever it's up...
What should I go with?
I think on trash I will keep hourglass on, but boss fights use X ap trinket, but the hourglass also has more crit on it which is a +... I have no clue what to do.

Hourglass, hands down. Yes, you hit like a truck when you use rapid fire and the X AP trinket. BUT, you're Survival and are in the raid to keep your Expose Weakness debuff up. You do this via critting. To be honest, you're better off with the Hourglass and the Brooch.
However, it really depends on your other trinkets.

Hourglass procs roughly every 45-50 seconds for 300 AP over 10 seconds.
Round it up to 1 proc every minute and it gives you 10 seconds of 300 AP per minute.
That is on average 50 AP over the whole fight.
And thats more then even Bloodlust brooch will give you.
The inability to time it makes it worse then Bloodlust, but its still really good.

I find the Hourglass virtually worthless on trash (save for the crit boost) as it almost always procs just as the mob dies.
On boss fights though? I wouldn't go without it. The procs are much more useful. Keep the hourglass. If you worked as hard as I did to get it, you must appreciate it. ;-)
