You're awful at this game.

Seriously.

Clickers are ridiculously awful.

Why are you so negative? an experienced clicker can be just as good as a key-binder..

Well, go try key-bindings and then ask yourself that question.

Seriously, keybinding makes everything so much easier and faster. It's like clickers and keybinders are playing a totally different game.

If you're dead set on clicking with the mouse button, you probably don't even need a customised UI. Just turn on the action bars or something.

well i do have the action bar keys bound but i click because for me its so much easier

ok fine, ill try key-binding but after reading the keyboard/mouse turning guide, i was wondering if their is an addon that lets you bind keys easier and with the mouse? i dont know which line binds it to the mouse lol

EDIT: nevermind

I know you said nevermind, but I am throwing this in there anyway.

Bongos has one of the easiest keybinding UIs. While in binding mode, you hover over the button or the icon in your spell book and hit the button you want assigned to it and it is done.

In regards to why this is better than clicking, it really is faster. Think of it like this. If you are dragging your cursor across the screen to click a button, you are not holding the mouse button down to turn. So, if you need to turn, you are either screwed, or you have to use the arrows to turn (in which case you are screwed). You are effectively slower and you will get torn apart in PvP by players who use keybinding/mouse turning (which is anyone who is good at PvP). For PvE, clicking be a bit more acceptable, but you will still be a much better asset to your group if you use bindings and mouse turn.

What worked for me was to make a level one alt and unbind all my turning buttons and bind my actions as I gained them. This forced me to learn this, and I now cannot use the arrow keys and click. It just seems awkward. I thank Eon's guide for showing me the light.

i don't even have my action bars showing anymore, and i unbound the turn keys and made them to hemo and shadowstep

I only have the strafe keys still there. Playing a Hunter without movement key binds (outside of strafe) makes you a better player with the mouse.

And redbarrom, clickers have been proven since release to be less efficient than keybinders don't even bring up the "personal preference" argument.

if u want to be a clicker then get bongos or somethign and make the bars bigger and therefore easier to click.

i tend to do both(click & use keyboard), i have 1,2,3,4,5,6 bound with alt, Shift, and ctrl, and click 7,8,9, and have my thumb button bound to 0, pinky button bound to - and middle click bound to =

works great for me

just find something that works for you and you will do better than anyone telling you how to play ro calling u awful with no help what so ever

**cough** leo **cough**

Why does it not surprise me that your lock has scrub gear?

Oh, right.

My former disc priest was not a clicker and our 2v2 rating was 1730 (highest)
My new disc partner is a clicker and our rating is 1500 :(

Honest question: How does anyone not go insane clicking everything? I don't do any key binding (all regular tool bar 1-9 keys with [modifier:] macros) but I cannot imagine having to click on every icon, for every action. Giving up my 1-9 would ruin my gameplay.

It's really an honest question. I've run into a few people in-game who claim to be clickers and I really don't understand why you would want to play that way.
#20 Feb 04 2008 at 2:56 PM Rating: Decent
Because Locks and Priests use to be able to get away with it, like hey watching a timer, click, click, click.

Well, I suppose that would be marginally more interesting at times than spamming the same /castsequence key (oh, number 2, what would I do without you?).

Think my 'lock will be keeping the macro tho...

I was a clicker on my rogue until level 50. It was tough to over come but I couldn't fathom even running a low level instance without the 6 mouse bindings I have, not to mention the rest.

I now officially seen a level 70 keyboard turner, EFC druid in WSG.

Who levels to 70 as a keyboard turner??

Who makes a keyboard turning druid the FC??

Thomas, I think I changed about the same time.

When you don't PvP much its easy to be a clicker. I came from console gaming and I don't play FPS so the WASD way of the world (of Warcraft) was not engrained in me from the start. You can get away with clicking in PvE, but its a death sentance in PvP.

How do YOU even use 6-9? Theres no way you can hit those keys on the move.

~ 1 2 3 4 5 Q E R T F G C V

Extra mouse buttons if you have them, scroll wheel, then SHIFT modifiers for all those keys.

Thats a terrible macro for PVP, learn to keybind. Someone dispells corruption, you're going to rely on a castsequence order to reapply all dots just to get 1 back up?

Even in PVE you waste a ton of DPS by not refreshing a hair after dots run out. Drop that macro, it's bad. You should see how many keybindings I have on my lock, some classes have faaaaaaaaar more then rogues do (shamans, locks, paladins, mages, priests).

Almost true, the discussion is at best fight-dependent.
