So my guild's been farming loot reaver for awhile now. We downed him the other night and he dropped ANOTHER Fel Reaver Piston. Not sure how to link items.

Anyways, I'm a resto druid and I wondered to myself how great this could be. Everyone else had it that wanted it, so I asked everyone in vent, in a loud clear voice, "Does this proc off Lifebloom, cause if it does, I want it."

This was met by several, "Yeah dude it says direct healing."

Here was my fatal mistake. I thought to myself, this doesn't make sense, I throw hundreds, probably thousands of blooms per raid, this is wayy too good to be true. I even went so far as to think "Hey, I should ask everyone on the forum before I waste my DKP on this."

Being my loot hungry self, I splurged.
Tonight I took it to SSC and was nearly irate. Of course it didn't work, that's kinda obvious. The other resto druid tried telling me "I told you it only procs off the 'bloom' effect."

Well, it appears he was entirely WRONG about that too, unless of course it only proc'd on blooms immediately following regrowths... (as the bloom counts as that character healing themself I guess)

/rant off

The kicker is I had an Auselece's Light Channeler that I was STUPID enough to vendor. -59 healing and +16mp/5 ughh

Anyways, i'll keep it for Healing Touch spamming heroics when im bored. Just had to get that off my chest before I unloaded it over vent.

Why toss an item that wasn't clearly upgraded? I only ditch something when it's outranked in all the stats it gives, because I never know how I may want to weight things.

I agree with Selebrin. Don't vendor stuff until you're absolutely sure you won't ever need it again. I myself am a total item hog. I keep any and all cra p i find and stor it in the bank for later. I even have the epic idol that reduce mana cost of regrowth by 33 even though I'm feral and even resto druids say it sucks :D

If you submit a GM ticket, they're capable of restoring an item sold in error (or taking away one bought in error and returning your precious Arena Points). You may have to provide a date when you sold it, though.

It seems that your hindsight is as clear as mine. I believe my problem lay in the fact that I simply was too lazy to ask someone of real authority before I spent my DKP. I'm not sure that Blizzard GM's will honor the vendored trinket, but it's worth a shot!

Thanks

Remember that there's some kind of time limit. I vendored my Oblivion Pants a while back, then realized they would have me hit capped. It was about six months after I'd sold them, so they couldn't verify the sale and get them back to me.

Of course, that then spurred me on to get one of the BoE Epic pants, so I guess I came out on top anyway xD
