Hybrid MageFollow

#1 Jan 31 2008 at 2:21 PM Rating: Decent
I was curious if it would be worth while to go fire and frost down the talent trees and if it'd be useful in pvm. ...or if the higher level talents were needed to make a mage worth it.

The reason I ask is because when I see talents like Master of Elements and Elemental Precision, I assume they could work well together, or do you have to master in one?

I only ask because my friend rolled mage and he's not sure on going fire or frost, he can't make up his mind on the higher crits vs. the aoe

He hunts with me pretty much 100%, I'm a BE pally
As well as my girlfriend who rolled hunter

Whatever her pet doesn't tank, I tank, and for the most part I'm the healer of the group, but he's sticking to his frost nova and whatnot because of "it helps the party" when we pull 5+ mobs.

Thanks for the feedback~

Funny, because all I saw in there that was related to my question was...

"Reserved for Talents (Thank you Hintz!). This section has been delayed due to real-world work."

Helped a lot. Either way I leaning more towards someones personal opinion/experience, not a generalized guide.

Thanks though.

No, the other guide. It goes into a huge in-depth discussion of each talent and why it's useful. Then it works out partial builds to put together into a happy multi-school build.

Check that one out and then come back. My personal opinion is that what your friend needs is in that guide. Read it and come back.

We should have an auto-feature that would IP ban people who dont read the stickies, and ask stupid questions, answered in 20 seconds by reading, get told to go read them, and then come back 2 days later, and ask a question just like the first one.

Was gonna say just the non-small part, but then I realized how bad that would be for people who just "miss" the stickies (Hey... it... CAN happen, right?).

It's my fault he didn't clarify? He said "the FAQ", I checked the one that said "FAQ" in the title, sorry for being logical, but then again I'm not logical for reading a guide huh?

Sorry, I should have been more specific, generally when I refer to the FAQ I am speaking of the stickied posts at the top.

It's fine man, thanks for the suggestion though
I think the guide that was given was helpful though, I checked it out myself and it went really in depth with each talent so I thought it was pretty nice..

Thanks again
