Argent Dawn rep grinding questionsFollow

Because I ramble, bolding the questions for the tl;dr crowd.

I'm starting to hit all the Argent Dawn quests for 30 dark iron scraps, savage fronds, core of elements, etc. Are there any rewards that I should specifically be saving up for? Are there any of these items that are easier to farm than others or is it randomly assigned? Am I going to find better in Outlands and shouldn't bother?

Wowwiki for Argent Dawn for reference: http://www.wowwiki.com/Argent_Dawn
(If that's against the rules, kindly let me know and I will remove the link.)

If it helps: Level 55, Alliance, PvE, combat swords, fishing 300, cooking 300, skinning 300, leather 275 (omg slacker!)

I'm so confused about these so I'm just sitting on EVERYTHING. Thankfully you can send these things to an alt to hold! I know the wowwiki and other sites have great information but I'd like to hear personal experience. Please tell me your Argent Dawn rep grinding tales - good, bad, or ugly.

Oh, and any other factions I should be trying to get in good with as a rogue?

Thanks a bunch! You guys are always awesome with the help.

You're going to get better in Outland in a few levels so don't bother.

Look for Outland greens "of the Bandit" on the AH to fill out gear slots and you will be more than ready to head to Outland at 58/59.

If you can fill out your gear with all Outland greens, try to get a group for Hellfire Citadel: Ramparts or Blood Furnace before doing any of the initial quests from Thrallmar/Honor Hold. This will give you a nice boost in reputation and will rocket you on your way to revered/exalted with them.

I also recommend you do the same with the Coilfang Reservoir instances and the Cenarion Expedition faction as they have the head enchant you will want for any end-game headpieces you use.

Unless you really want some of the crafting/enchanting recipes for some reason, I wouldn't spend any extra time grinding out AD rep. If you really want to learn every available recipe for your profession, you can always go back later and grind up the rep on your 70 in a lot less time. Most of the better rep-related things you can get from AD have superior equivalents available in Outland.

I have been working on rep in Outland based more on my character's professions rather than their class. CE does offer a nice low level leather chest that is nice for a Rogue. I think some of the other factions have some decent weapons but weapons and gear aren't that hard to come by so I would look through the faction rewards on the Wiki and plan out which ones seem worth grinding out first based on the crafting recipes you can get and after that worry about getting rep for gear.

I only mentioned CE specifically because of the head enchant.

The Warden's Hauberk is also a very nice chest piece for early to mid 60s rogues, but I had completely forgotten about it.

Goal should just be to get to Outlands. Gear there is better and like someone else said, if you are a completist you can go back and farm rep a lot easier at 70. Plus leveling in Outlands is easy with all the quests available, the instances, and the fact you're on a pve server. The CE chest piece is really good and easy to attain, had it on my rogue up until 70.

Thanks everyone. Rate ups and much lovin'.

Should I sell off what I've collected so far? The only thing I can actually turn in right now is the dark iron scraps.

There is an 18 slot bag you can get with enough of the marks you get for the turn-ins, but it's probably not even worth going for.

I would just get rid of what you've collected so far and put your nose to the grindstone (queststone?) and get to Outland.

I turned in every single one of those quests once, for the XP they give around level 56-57. Just a nice little boost to carry you that much closer towards the outlands. As for Argent Dawn rep itself? Useless these days. Forget about it. But getting the XP from those quests is very nice at those levels, and don't forget to do runecloth turn-ins at all the different cities too. I probably got over half a level from those quests, mind you I just bought everything off the auction house.

to make a link do this:

[link= type url here without the spaces]what you want the link to read here, it can have spaces[/link]

like i could do this

[link=wow.allakhazam.com]Allakhazam homepage[/link]

by typing:

[link= wow.allakhazam.com]Allakhazam homepage[/link]

and taking out the space out after the =.

Edit: Ok, that's not working for some reason.

I hung on to everything since I'm still questing over there. (Two levels until Outlands! I'm so excited!)

The cloth turn-ins are a great suggestion, thanks! I haven't finished those yet. Laaaazy. And my hubby has been ganking all my cloth for tailoring since the beginning. (To be fair, he keeps me well-stocked in leather.)

Ugh, these last couple of levels are DRAAAAAAGGING.
