FSW adequate dps in heroics/low end raids?Follow

Hey guys

Just like the title said. I LOVE frost spec, so I am considering the Frozen shadoweave set. I know fire is where its at for pve dps, but i just really want to stay frost specced.

I will never be doing the hardcore high end raids, at most, probably kara, ZA, and maybe gruuls and thats it. Other than those, mostly heroics.

Would my damage still be respectable/competitive/adequate should I chose not to go with fire spec /spellfire set?

Thanks

FSW + Spellstrike set will be more than enough if Gruul is as far as you want to go. Fill in the rest of the pieces with Kara/Heroic drops, maybe some badges. I did Gruul as frost and never had any problem being in top 5 in damage.

Actually, it can be fine later on too. Not as much DPS as fire, naturally, but you have to have enough skill to make up for the lack of DPS. Where a fire mage can be mediocre, you have to be good. Where a fire mage has to be good, you need to be great.

And save up a non-frost set of gear for if you make it to Hydross and go to learn him. Once he's on farm, go ahead and do him as frost, but while learning, go fire.
