Do you mean the talent Improved Mark of the Wild, or just the buff Mark of the Wild. I can't imagine why you'd ask such a question about the buff itself, because even it was lame it couldn't hurt so ya might as well buff yourself anyway. The talent, on the other hand, is generally considered weak...don't take it if you're feral or balance, take it eventually to fill out requisite points if you go resto.

No, never.

You're not even faster in cat form unless/until you take Feral Swiftness talent which bumps your speed (when outdoors only) by 15%/30%.

You can run 15% faster in bear form with the 4set gladiator bonus.

I just picked up my fourth piece this morning, and I didn't think there would be much of a change but it really is noticable. Even though this is a kinda lame thing to give for getting 4 pieces, I'll take it.

Actually, for Arena, this is kinda great. Adds survivability.

Sorry, I stand corrected on saying you "never" run faster in bear form, lol. Man, the word never is just never completely accurate, is it?

Just curious, but why do you suggest not taking IMotW as Balance? I find it more useful than Furor for my moonkin, since I rarely if ever am in kitty or bear form (being in Outlands now, my kitty form just doesn't do good enough damage to really use, it's faster to just drink, as in my balance gear I can take at most 1 mob as kitty without badly needing to heal.)

I'll grant you, it might be nice if I carried around a second set of melee DPS gear, but that just seems like it would cost too much and take up too much bag space at this point (I suppose I could run instances for feral drops, but...meh.)

Good points, I overstated that. I'm a fully feral furball so have never given Imp MoTW much thought. My only exp with balance is my level 20 alt and I'm piling all my points into the balance tree to get the dps maximizers there. When I do want to branch intot he resto tree for the complementary talents I'll probably see Imp MotW as more value than furor. So I'd like to restate my answer to be "don't take it if you're feral" and I'll abstain from commenting on it's value for balance and resto.

Although, now that I think about it, for PvP action I'd think the instant rage of Furor would be invaluable even for moonkin by enabling bear-charge-bash.

True, I can see furor as being useful for PvP regardless of spec, but I don't really PvP (yet, anyway, I keep thinking about it) so I can see your point there.

Oh, and thanks for the RogueFocus tip. I'm still playing around with setting it up (the little filling bar I find distracting sometimes) but I got it tonight, and within a couple minutes I got my first purple ever to drop (gloves of holy might) so...I'm gonna give you credit for that :p

In my opinion, if you are feral, Furor is infinitely superior in every possible way to ImotW. It is a waste of talent points in the resto tree. There are talents in there that will boost your feral damage by a lot more (Omen, naturalist) and talents that will help you stay alive longer in PvP (natural shapeshifter).

I only picked it up when I went Dreamstate because I believe it is my dutie as a caster to provide the best buff possible during raids.

Just a quick question with regards to this.

Does the the 4/5 Glad bonus (15% feral speed increase outdoors) stack with feral swiftness?

Fingers crossed!

yea it seems it does stack
