Question for the Warriors.Follow

#1 Jan 31 2008 at 9:20 AM Rating: Good
This is an OPINION not a FACT, as such I was just curious as Tanks what are all of your favorite Healers? Class wise.

Druids?
Shamans?
Priests?
Paladins?

Perhaps you have a different favorite for different roles? Let me hear!

My personal favorite healer "happens" to be a Priest. Only because of her skills as a healer, not neccessarily the class. If she had the same level of skill on a resto druid or a healidan, then that would be my favorite "type" of healer.

Point is, whenever you find a great healer (whatever class), attach them to your hip and give them whatever mana pots you pick up.

I also like Priest.

Now in my guild we have great druid, shammy, and pally healers. We've 1 shotted Nightbane with a combo of all, and they've done great.

*edit* Oh what's your fav?

*edit2* gah stupid sig not working :/ oh well

Honestly I'm gonna have to go for Shamans...I usually get lucky with Shamans and they actually are competent.

i'll tell you which are my least favorite, in specific situations.

in situations where there is a TON of burst damage, restokins are my least favorite, unless they blow their cooldowns, shift out to caster form to heal with healing touch, or have plenty of healing bonus. examples: tempest forge destroyers with charged fist in heroic mech, twin bog giant pull before first boss in heroic UB, coilfang defender pulls in heroic SP.

in situations where the healer must remain mobile, paladins are my least favorite. only one example comes to mind however: chick boss in heroic mech. however, i do like pallies that have a lot of healing plate, due to their durability. pallies are my most favorite healer when i'm dpsing >=)

Gonna have to agree with thebarbarian. Healadins are my fav. Their flashheals are great and their durability is great! But there are downsides aswell. They have to stay put while healing. Our Karateam runs with a Pally and a Priest as healers. We also have a Offhealer (drood). He is primarily DPS, but he can step in as OT, DPS and Healer. He has great gear =)

I don't really have a preference. Skill is much more important than class in most situations. In some situations certain classes come in handy but they all bring something to help the group beyond their healing so it's all good.

I like shammies. Chain heals are awesome for the group. 25% more armor for me. Earthshield is fantastic. They got totems, which are some of the most powerful buffs in the game.

For arena... Druids.

For instances... Druids or Pallies.

Priests are good in PvP, but I don't like the PW:S abusing ones you get in PUGs...

I'll echo the prevailing sentiment that my favorite healer is the healer that knows what they're doing. It's hard to say whether or not I have a favorite class, because I've been with good ones and bad ones of all healing classes. My personal favorite healer now is a 70 priest in our guild, who is phenomenal at what he does. I don't even realize I'm taking heavy damage, most of the time, he's that good.

Case in point, ran Durnholde 3 times with that priest one day. Then ran it once more with a different priest because he had to log. The first 3 times, we blew through it and took down the last boss with ease. The 4th time, we wiped on the 1st and second waves before the last boss, then we wiped on him, too, because the healer wouldn't mana up between fights. She also decided she'd rather heal her guildies/friends in the group before healing the tank for some reason. We managed to beat the thing once I got them to listen to my instructions and let me build aggro, but it was rough going.

For some reason i dont like druid healers. It's probably because of their cooldown ress.

Paladins are my #1 choice.

Couldnt be more offtopic, but to Nikkelmand:

That is in one avatar -

- the best I have ever seen up till now
- the sickest I have ever seen up till now

Gratz on both! /cheer

/agreed

Was both disturbed and amused by that avatar :P - dunno what that says about me...

Edit: My favourite healer depends on the class I'm playing:
Warrior - Priest/Healadin;
Druid (tank) - Healadin;
Warlock - Druid. I love that I can lifetap more safely with a druid healing me. Lifebloom ticks of 700-900 and Rejuv ticks of 1200 mean I'm pretty safe always and not taking away to much from other people who need to be healed.

Whatever keeps my group and myself alive. I'm not incrediblt picky, as long as I know the healer is competent.
