Enhancement level 60 pvp gear, is it worth it?Follow

#1 Jan 31 2008 at 8:17 AM Rating: Decent
I've had mixed results from people in game about spending honor points on level 60 gear or just saving the points for level 70 gear. I'm a full Enhancement Shaman and have already purchased (1) High Warlord's Cleaver and I'm well on my way for my second for dual wielding, but I'm not sure if I should just get back to leveling and save the points till I hit 70. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say just wait and get the 70 gear. However if you wanna get the whole gladiator set/other S1 items, you shud stop at 69 and grind honor then. If you wait until the 70 bracket you'll be competing against a lot of S2/S3 geared people who will wipe the floor with you.

Thanks for the advice.

I've heard from some people to not spend any honor points before level 70 and some people told me to buy weapons as soon as I could at level 60. I just wasn't sure if it was worth the time grinding honor points for a full set of armor and weapons at 60.

Thanks again. Grinding honor at level 69 to prepare for level 70 makes the most sense, I'm surprised no one has recommended that earlier.

If your goal is to reach 70 and PVP, then do it in that order: reach 70, then PVP.

If you're PVPing a lot for fun, it's really up to you whether to spend the points on 60. Personally I think they'd be more efficiently spent on 70 gear, but if PVE really doesn't appeal to you at all, it might be worth it to get geared out and sprint through the 60->70 leveling spurt as quickly as possible.

Those High Warlord's Cleavers will be great for grinding and should last you all the way until 70 with no problem.

IIRC, they are 2.9 speed, which is near ideal for a shaman weapon, and you won't want to replace them until you can get 2 S1 axes at 70.

If you already grinded for 1, go ahead and grind out the honor for the other one as well.
