Hey guys. I've been helping the lady friend gear her hunter as of late. I got hacked and quit playing for awhile, but now that I'm back into the game she's taken interest in her hunter and would like to get properly geared to get into raiding. We just finished crafting her Ebon Netherscale, and we are working on her glad xbow at the moment, which we should have in the next few days. This is her hunter. Any suggestions from of the more knowledgeable hunters would be much appreciated. North, help me!!!
What kind of gear owuld you be looking for exactly. There are different things you can do to get different kinds of gear. You can do BG's, arena, and or some raids or some more heroic instances as well. Really the only gear that you can get that is better than what you currently have would be by doing some arena and or raids like Kara and such.
if you can, get Dos Santos instead of S1 weapon.
Dos Santos is really good and besides Wolfslayer And Barrel Blade you wont find an upgrade for it soon.

Some advice:
- The enchants can be optimized.
AP on bracers
15agi or 26ap on gloves
70ap (savagery) or 35agi on 2h weapon (+5 weapon damage is useless)
12agi on boots
12agi on cloak
As for gear upgrades.
The next upgrades are available in raid instances (equip is good enough for Karazhan and perhaps Gruul & Magtheridon).
A few upgrades can be found by doing PvP (vindicator boots for honor and of course some arena items. 1st of all get the hunter season 3 axe (1000 arena points for a really good weapon). For the next arena points I'd get the season 3 helmet, but it costs a lot of arena points and will take a lot of weeks to get).
Thanks for the responses Mulgrin. As to the weapon enchant, she knew it was useless, but her roommate was leveling enchanting, and the spear hasn't been had for long. Didn't have the chance for Savagery yet. I'll look into helping her grab some of those items, and the advice on chants is appreciated. I knew she was kara and gruul ready, but I didn't know what we could get OUTSIDE of those places for her. Apparently the answer is not a TON, outside of PvP gained upgrades, which we can do pretty easily, just a time commitment.
For the record, she went into Kara for the first time tonight on our raid night. She did a damn good job. It was mostly alts running, but she still stayed in the top 3 for damage the majority of the time while spiking into first on moroes and opera, so I was happy to see the work we'd put in the gear show. We just need to work on that HP some, though that's not priority. She had a bit of trouble staying alive during Aran at times, though she made it. Shatters in gruul would probably take her out quick if she happened to catch ANYBODY else.
