I have had a Priest around for a while, never played much as solo'ing is the pits and finding good groups around 37 is tough. So he Sits.
I started a new priest as I needed an alchemist/herbelish/fisherman and was running around when someone /w wanna heal VC. I replied, I can heal, but not much exp as one. So off to the Deadmines, and after a few changes we rolled. Did pretty well, one wipe and a couple rare deaths including me when I got pinned on the ramp to the ship. We cleared it with good results and I had fun. I also got 1 1/2 levels Woot! Now at 20, looking for group! Maybe I found a home.

I haven't quite understood your statement before, you say you had a priest but it was hard, and then you started off with another priest and then you liked it?

Well, I'm a lvl 70 holy priest and it is not easy to do things on your own, it is probably the worst role for farming, since you're not built for dps. However, I do fine anyway, it takes more time, but I manage to farm around.

On the other hand, you're really needed as a healer, so you always are ahead of other classes when it comes to fit in a party/raid, so your weaknesses are overcompensated.

Glad you had fun! It's a simple fact: being a healer goes better with DPS. If you can learn to coordinate instance runs, you'll make plenty of friends and really make the most of your role. Good luck.

I think the difference is with the second priest he is healing in instances and he wasn't doing that with his first priest.

I am sure that is a lot of it. Some was the NE area in general, Until you get to 20-25 you really can't solo. I was also newer and did not figure out the Bubble at first, only once per mob and never 2 mobs at once. Lastly, it is much easier to heal in groups then try to solo anywhere. I do remember running stocks alot, and was good there, but still tried to DPS and just heal.

Glad you are enjoying yourself.

Remember that the lower level tanks aren't necessarily the best at holding multiple mobs. Be ready with your fade when the adds head your way.

It is always good to see someone turned to the healing side, one more brother to group with.

You will ALWAYS find a group for instances, because hardly anyone is a healer (compared to dps, thats dime a dozen).

The thing about roles in games is liking them, if you like doing X or Y thing, then do it and have fun while doing so, it makes the experience that much better.

Well I gotta say that I turned to healing at 59 and leveled up to 68atm only by healing in instances. That is very convenient since I can be online only in the afternoons after work. Great way to have fun and make friends.Once you have a few you can make easy parties and replacing someone if needed aint a big problem. Another advantage is that I didnt do ANY quests leaving them for lvl 70 when the rewards for quests give more money :D

Sounds great, I would rather run instances. I am also on at wierd times, after 2am weeknights. Just getting a party is hard. I am going to respec my 37 priest and start healing runs, SM probably will be easy to group

well thing is that grouping in Azeroth is much harder than in Outland. Maybe because ppl rely on quests in Azeroth. Second thing is that in Outland you get reputationa and everybody needs it. All in all have fun, I surely did:D
p.s. 12 bars to 70 muhaha

After Deadmines and possiably Stockades, I will agree. Gromer and ST are such pains and the others take a very good group that no ones bothers to try. For now, I am ok. And after 35, it's gravy as I can make most pots and pick the herbs.

The thing is: the more instances you run, the easier it gets to find a group, especially for a healer. I'm exclusively running instances and my friend list is full of ppl I have run instances with. That's the key. I always have tons of friends online to group with. It usually takes less than 30 minutes, and often only 5, to have a 5 man ready to roll.

Something else, I'm not picky about the instances I'm running as long as I'm getting xp. I already have all the good items from that dungeon? We'll go for fun then! That item hasn't dropped? I'll get it next time! Success is garanteed.
