gearing at 70Follow

Hi, I am currently 55, planning out my gear when i hit 70, and wondering if it would match the spec i want. (sorry, if my questions are newb :-)

I will be crafting the fsw set, and aiming for the belt of blasting or belt of ruination, and spellstrike hood + pants. I am not too sure about the other stuff yet. I am hoping that is sufficient for me to start raiding for most of the remaining of items, so I can be kara ready asap.

I am mainly destro, aiming for this (19/0/42):
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warlock/talents.html?5502200010130000000000000000000000000000000555000512200010530350

but if that didnt work, i would consider respecing aff (41/3/17) like this:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warlock/talents.html?5502200312230105510310300000000000000000000505000510100000000000

would those pieces I am planning on tailoring be a good compliment to the destro spec? And if it didnt work out, would they also work for the aff build?

thanks for you advice! :D

FSW is... average for a Destruction Spec. Not only is there a chance you might be a Firelock (lol), but it has no crit unless socketed. If you think you can make up the crit loss in your other slots and gems, then get Frozen Shadoweave.

Also, yes, Frozen Shadoweave kicks *** as Affliction, though your build is somewhat odd. Devastation and Destructive Reach aren't much help in an Affliction PvE build, and Shadowburn is a nifty finisher for light PvP but not strictly necessary. Also, Suppression = BAD at 5/5. 2/5 at most, really, lots of your DPS still comes from Shadow Bolts (though Shadow Bolt crits aren't crucial enough to blow 5 Talent Points on) and Suppression only effects Affliction spells.

THIS is a more conventional build, for UA PvPing (it happens) and PvE. I you're highly PvE focused, take the point out of Suppression and the two out of iHoT and put them into Malediction and Shadow Embrace, like THIS.

Those pieces are all great if you can afford it all.

Then go for gladiator's spellblade, vindicator's silk cuffs, vindicator's pendant of conquest, gladiator's silk gloves from PVP, get exalted with scryer for the good shoulder inscription, revered will get you a spell hit trinket.

You'll still want pieces of badge gear and a handful of drops from kara, but if you got all that stuff you'd be doing monster dps up through until early SSC/TK. If you had all that gear you could pretty much app to a guild farming hydross/lurker/VR/Al'ar and squeeze your way in on kara farm nights to stockpile badge lootz.

If you got all that gear, you'd want your spell damage trinket from heroic badges, cloak off prince or badge reward (depends on +hit and luck on drops), theres a nice hit necklace off moroes but you could be fine without it. A few other pieces of badge gear, spell haste off hand, wand if you had bad luck getting the one from aran, I think thats about it.

With like 60k honor and 5000-6000g for tailoring + gear you can pretty much buy your way into an early SSC/TK guild.

Head- Spellstrike
Neck- Vindicator's Conquest
Shoulder- FSW
Cloak- would need badge/kara upgrade
Chest- FSW
Bracers- Vindicator's Silk
Gloves- Gladiator's Felweave (temporary slot until T4 or badge reward)
Belt- of Blasting
Legs- Spellstrike
Boots- FSW
Ring- exalted scryer
Ring- Vindicator's until PVE upgrade
Trinket- Scryers revered bloodgem
Trinket- Darkmoon Card: I forget
Weapon- Gladiator's spellblade (arena for upgrade to S3)
Off-Hand- Some trash until you get badges for spell haste
Wand- Some trash until you get epic, easiest is from nessingway's quest in Nag

Hi thanks for the advice!

Even tho I am on a pvp server, I am not all that into pvp, or good at it, so trying to get 60k honor will probably just stress me out too much. However, i'll try to give it a go again once i get closer to 70. (ive only done a few WSG so the other bg's will be interesting to check out)

I really want to stay destruction, and yah thats why I wanted to see how the FSW set will compliment that build. The reason I am aiming for the FSW is because my buddy has been making me the ingredients for it, so it will be the easiest items for me to get. Since ill have so much time saved with his help, i can grind for the mats for the spellstrike & belt of blasting.

I had forgetten about crit.. so I guess ill have to rethink a bit.
