First off, I'm a fury specced war, who will probably never be a MT for 10/25 mans, as we have at least 4 decently geared/greatly skilled prot wars in my guild. With that in mind, I have a small dilenma. I've been saving up w/e badges I can grab and I honestly don't know what to do with them. I've also been in the BG's a whole lot, and I'm plain sick of Pvp'ing. (I guess losing 1/4 AV's every day can do that to you).

So, my dilemna is this, I have 35 badges saved up, as well as 17k honor. My tanking set is not the best, but it's not the worst either, as fury I'm at about 12k HP, 11.5k armor, 494 def. I'm getting a new shield one way or another, because it is the greatest improvement by far I can make to my tanking set. (Using Shield of the Wayward footman or w/e its called, not gonna link just know that its a lv.65 or so blue shield.)

Now, I can either purchase the shield wall with my honor and spend the badges on Vindicators cuffs or belt, or I can purchase the Azure Shield of Coldarra with the badges. I'll link my armory, I'm logged off in my dps gear (obviously lol). Here are the stats for both shields as I dont feel like linking:

Azure - 4668 armor, 115 block, 31 stam, 22 def rating, block value by 33
Shieldwall-5197 armor, 134 block, 45 stam and 29 resilience.

Now, at first glance the shield wall seems the way to go, since I could care less of block value since I dont have Shield Bash. But if I spend my honor, then what can I buy with my badges?? I'm interested in replacing my dps belt/boots/wrists, I think from there I can get the most bang for my buck. I was forced to basically use +crit gems to get to 25%.(and no I refuse to use blue quality gems for gear I'll replace soon, and hence the cheaper gems). Have yet to use good gems on my pants pending which decision I make with the above topic. Heres my armory link:

I've been pondering this for a few days, I just want to see you guys opinions. Hope it all makes sense, typed up fast and w/o proof reading because I'm at work.

do you think you can clarify your exact question a little bit?

Do you need the shield to make up for any Def? Cause if not, go with the vengeful shield wall and buy the badge belt (don't think there's much better from anywhere).

Plus I'm pretty certain PVP gear =/= PVE gear if you wanna be anywhere near the top, so go for the badge PVE stuff?

My exact question is:

Where would I get more bang for my buck? Buy the Azure shield with the 35 badges of justice and use my 17k honor to buy vindicator gear, OR buy the glad shield wall and use the badges for DPS gear.

The problem with the badge DPS gear is that it has no crit on them, only armor penetration, and at this point I need crit.

Maybe I just answered my own question.

EDIT: ****, the problem with the badge items is that they seem to be more geared towards the T5 and up gear, where you would have easily reached 25-30% crit and surpass the minimum hit rating. At this point I've had to sacrifice str gems for crit gems, just to make it to 25% crit.

That's the nice thing about that badge belt, its got two (2) sockets! Pop in two crit gems or two str gems and work your other gear around that.

Another thing I noticed is that you should enchant your head piece with the CE rep glyph. It adds 34AP and 13 hit, so that could allow more flexibility in other slots as well.

As you said, you're focusing mainly on being a DPS warrior. Once you're starting to get s3 gear, your crit will be increasing by quite a bit, as well as the rest of your stats. Armor penetration at that point will be making a bigger difference.

Since tanking is a secondary objective, don't worry about having the best you can for that section. You have enough to OT most things and enough to MT heroics... what more do you really want?

So again, just focus on getting the most you can from honor, arena, and badge gear for dps and after you're done with that, go back to get the prot pieces if you still need them.

You mentioned you are sick of pvp (mainly AV's). You should just do the daily non-av bg quests... that should give you ~1k / quest turn in (~4-500 from the bg and then ~400 from the turn in). Plus that'll give you more gold for enchants and etc. If you're on a fairly populated server, getting into premades shouldn't be too much of a problem, especially for daily quests which will mean you'll finish them in ~10-15 minutes max.
