Solo aoe farming stratholmeFollow

#1 Jan 29 2008 at 8:37 PM Rating: Decent
Ive got a guildy who says he always solo farms strat and makes INSANE cash. I am almost 70, and want that spellfire set, but do NOT have the patience to farm the primals, so i was hoping to find a way to farm gold FAST and purchase it.

Anyone know if a fresh 70 mage (frost probably until i get the full spellfire set) can solo strat?
Anyone know if farming strat is not as good as this guildy makes it sound?

Would strat farming only be profitable if you DE the blues? or does the bulk of the money come from cloth/money/drops rather than the blues?

And lastly, if the strat idea doesnt work out, have you fellow mages come across any particular locations that mages are very effective at farming that can bring in some decent income rather quickly?

Thanks in advance

I know solo non-AoE farming as an enchanter will bring in a lot of gold. Not sure about AoE farming(though I'm sure it would). Whether or not that gold would be as high as primal farming, that I don't know.

Although I've never actually been in strat, I can tell you that right after you turn 70 you can make huge amounts of money simply doing quests. Each quest is worth about 9g, plus whatever rewards you get. And since a good amount of the greens in outland even vendor for 3-4g, you don't have to be an enchanter to make lots of money. Of course, you will want sell any boe drops, or find an enchanter to d/e for you, I'm talking about the soulbound quest reward stuff.

Just hop on your flyer and do a bunch of the easy quests, and you will be surprised at how much money you can make. And once you get the rep for the dailies you can make even more.
