Pickpocket macrosFollow

I've got a 57 rogue, and for my stealth openers I've been using a macro that looks like this:

/cast Pickpocket
/cast Cheap Shot

The problem is that occasionally I'll see that I'm not looting everything the mob has. When this happens it's usually a junkbox, which you may agree is sort of important. Yes, I have autoloot turned on, and yes, this only happens sometimes. Occasionally I'll get a junkbox even though I didn't even see the loot window open up.

Is this problem simply based on client-side lag (my latency is usually around 300-400, so I could see that)? If so, is there anything I can do about it?

if i would have to take a shot in the dark i would say it is a combination of lag, thus the inconsistency in the results, and that you have cheap shot going off almost directly after you pickpocket.
the point being that you should probably have CS go off, say a second, after pickpocket, thus you would get everything the mob gets looted of, while giving time for lag and collecting the items
again just a guess, but it makes sense on paper

Make it a two click macro like:

/cast Pickpocket
/stopcasting
/cast Cheap Shot

First click will PP, and CS wont go off until you click it again, allowing you to control your loot.

That's not a two click macro, that is the way they used to be set up before 2.3 when they removed the need to put /stopcasting in the macros. It will function the same way.

I have seen the same thing in mine, a few items that might get missed and always attribute it to lag. I am not sure how to set up a real two click, but I think there are some threads floating around on the first few pages that will. Overall the few junkboxes you miss will be a minor inconvenience if you keep your lock picking up to date. You will always have more junkboxes than you know what to do with.
