Refreshing Rampage Frustration! Follow

#1 Jan 29 2008 at 9:09 AM Rating: Default
So, trying to keep Rampage up isn't as bad as the title might seem, but it sure could use a revamp, because its just painstakingly annoying! Anyway, my question is about the Animation of Rampage. During the fight I refresh Rampage...great...but I started noticing that it takes time and I feel that the animation takes away from my next swing thus a loss of dmg/dps.

Does anyone else notice this? I after I refresh Rampage, I'm spamming the next instant attack to stop the whole Animation so I can get back to melting face. Anyone have any ideas or helpful insight to whether or not it increases the time between your next swing?

I believe all instants have a 0.5 sec casting time where your auto attacks are delayed. At least that's the case with hunters, when you Arcane Shoot and use Kill Command.

The swing animation lies. You get your rage and all that when you actually attack, the white numbers (and swing animation) are just always delayed based on other factors. They're not relevant for Warriors.

I've found that if I use a shout or rampage during a swing, that swing won't do anything, but the next one will hit twice (at least that's what the floating numbers say).

cant we do a macro so that a double tap will pop rampage and a attack of choice?

Not 100% on topic, but last night I finally put an end to my over-refreshing rampage.

Now, this is mainly on long boss fights - I found myself hitting rampage after most BT and WW strikes - while waiting for their cool downs. Obviously this is just a waste of rage. Same deal with battle shout.

These little gems are proving extremely useful. Use the '?' icon for your macro and you get visual cue when to refresh.

   /castsequence reset=22 Rampage, Stop

and

   /castsequence reset=110 Battle Shout, Stop

Enjoy
