Last week was good to me, and so was yesterday (Got my Felsteel Warhelm! Goodbye, Second Sight!). I picked up both the Boots of the Protector and Belt of the Guardian plans.
After tanking Heroic Shattered Halls last night, I crafted my boots and strutted around Ironforge before TK. But, when I end up tanking the Murlocs for Tidewalker, should I really replace my Jungle Stompers with them for that spell damage? I'm actually at only 488 defense, which is just shameful for my gear level.
The belt may take me a while to get, as we have a lot of casters who want the Belt of Blasting, and the Red Belt of Battle to go to the melee.
What do you guys think? Is it worth the vorts? What should I gear myself out as for the murlocs/5 mans?

A Holy Paladin just got the Belt plan last week (I wasn't there or I would have been given the plans) and I plan on spending my DKP for Vortexes and passing them to him so he can craft me that belt. I do however already have the spell damage belt from Heroic badge turn ins which some could argue to be better. I personally like the crafted one a bit better, and plus, it matches Tier 5 gear ;) However you'd like to go, Badges or the crafted belt, I would definently advise it.
As for the boots, I bought the plans off the AH for 620g (they were going for almost 1k at the time, so that was a steal) and I have not regretted my decision yet. Have had the boots from Nalorakk drop a few times but always passed on them. They are better not factoring in the hit my spell damage would take, which the way DPSers are gearing up, I'm needing more spell damage all the time. Just having a spell damage weapon isn't cutting it anymore :)
