here is my talents http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/rogue/talents.html?0000000000000000000000050252010230140203010000000000000000000000000

and the offensive skills i use are: Sinister Strike, Eviscerate, Garrote, Rupture, Cheapshot, Kidney shot, and poisons.
i dont use Backstab, Gouge or Ambush (i didnt even learnd those)

im pretty much noob so i would be glad if someone could point out if i did something stupid or give some advices.

thanks!

From the compendium of knowledge that I have received from many posters on Alla, I will tell you what they told me.

Depending on whether you're PVE or PVP, I would get rid of Endurance, Imp Sprint and Lightning Reflexs and put those points in something like Imp SS and Imp SnD.

Just a minor suggestion.

Check out my armory below for my spec spending. Had respec'd it a bit with the information I had received from everyone else.

Welcome to the Rogue Forums!

1) Two types of weapons specs = BAD, Blade Twisting = Bad, reasons being you want to spec swords for leveling, it is agreed upon as the fastest and most efficient spec for LVLing and General PVE, Blade twisting is just buckets of yuck those points are better spent elsewhere

2) Get improved Sinister strike, Reasoning- you can get 3 sinister strikes only having to wait one tick of the energy meter, makes for alot more dps,

3) Its my oppinion that you really don't need to get Endurance or Imp Sprint unless you plan on doing ALOT of pvp,

4) Learn Gouge it is very handy in pve being able to stunlock mobs for long periods of time

5) The Rogue Forums have a FAQ for a reason

You'd better learn gouge. You need it in PvP and it will save your a$$ in PvE, once in a while.

Your build is not good. Read this and this.

use this site well and you'll find everything you need.

swords here

Also, combat is by far the easiest way to level, so yes, (also) get AR asap.

It resembles my build alot so far, the only things i did differently was i never picked up riposte, and instead i put it into weapon expertise just for the better chance to hit.

I am going to tell you to max out the weapon spec so you can get the highest chance for the proc to happen (most of the other posters here will too i think).

This is my spec for combat with the amount of points you had.

This is just my two cents if i were u i would definitely check out nocturnal's threads he linked as he is more knowledgeable than i am.

FTFY =)

Not so much more knowledgable as a good listener lol. A lot of people gave me advice on my build and I took it to heart. Ever since, it's worked really well.

Yeah sorry about that Prikker I had my screen turned down really low at school so my teachers couldn't see what I was doing, therefore i couldn't really read what you had linked.

Also I prefer to default to the fountains of knowledge on the forums even though i have been reading them for about a year now.

GL Sasisan enjoy trying out your new build

The following is not meant to be offensive(just can't think of any other way to say it):

So...Wow...Our half trained noobs dealing with a whole noob. I think I like this. Keep it up so we don't have any more noobs.

Also, we do have a very good FAQ at the top of the page. Try reading through it before posting. Maybe we should make it so the entire first page of these forums is nothing but that FAQ stickied over and over so no one misses reading it ever again.

Anyways, sorry if I sound like an eliteist or an *******, just glad to see some of the newer rogues taking care of problems everyone else is getting fed up with.

Just keep doing it so I don't have to. If you do that I may stop nagging at you to get better swords.

lol Sounds good. Hey I'm learning still but at least I'm listening to what you guys have told me =P

Which is why I referred to you as a "half trained noob". Once you actually understand the why behind what you've been told and grasp the class mechanics and can give out advice based on that I would have to say your no longer a noob.
#19 Jan 30 2008 at 6:01 AM Rating: Good
I would love to no longer be a noob. That's a goal I intend to reach.

*runs around being a half-trained noob*

Just give it a month and you will become jaded and hateful just like every experienced rogue on here.

I don't know why exactly but us rogues seem to be some of the most vitriolic and unhelpful people out there.

I want a macro that I could spam on these boards saying: "Read the god damned FAQ!!!!".
#21 Jan 30 2008 at 6:11 AM Rating: Good
Oh don't get me wrong... I've tried going on the forums on Thottbot... those are horrible. Seriously, I've repeated myself so much on lockpicking it's ridiculous

if i have 2 swords and 2 daggers but both daggers are better then one of the swords should i still use the 2 swords or is it better to use the good sword and one of the daggers?

btw the new build is awesome!!

Once you specc into sword combat, you should try to use swords in both hands, only time you should really use a dagger in OH when sword specc'd is if the dagger is insanly good compared to your OH Sword....

But 5% chance to do almost double damage is much better than a dagger with 3 or 4 more dps.

Try moving your points from Riposte and Parry into Improved Slice and Dice, 1 point into Improved Kick, Another point into 2/2 Weapon Expertise, and Get Vitality... 4% stamina increase is almost another 4% health, and 2% Agi later in the game is the same as having +15 Agi on Weapons.

After you have 41 points in Combat, put your remaining points into Assasination, making sure to get Malice, Lethality and Relentless Strikes. Imp Evis is nice, and Remorsless attacks is great for all occasions, but dont tell Theo or Nocthil you have it otherwise they'll shoot you.

I'd go for these.

lvl 40:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fZGcV0bVzxzho

lvl 50:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fZGcV0bVzxMGkt

lvl 60:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fbe0oZGcV0bVzxMGkt

lvl 70:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fbe0ovZGcV0bVzxMGkt
or something similar.

These are PVE specs.

Remorseless sucks. Imp kick? Meh. Lightning reflexes, deflection and riposte are a waste. You're better off spending the points towards dps instead of avoidance.

why is slice and dice so good? i mean shouldnt i use the combo points for eviscerate/Rupture/kidney shot?
#26 Feb 10 2008 at 10:18 AM Rating: Default

It increases your dps by 20% for X seconds pretty much.....
