Ok, up until last Saturday I had not even known how to enter a BG, let alone ever PvP-ed.

So I figured I would give it a go cause some of the gear would be nice for a Gruul's tankmage set.

I kind of enjoyed it, so on to my question.

If I only wanted say a couple pieces of the mage gear, what kind of time would I need to invest into BG to get enough honor for the gear?

Keep in mind I know zero about PvP, other than reading alot of posts about people complaining about it.

I did WSG and AB a couple times over the weekend and I have like 736 honor.

It was kind of fun cause I liked working as a team and killing things fast.

Oh I also got dead quite a bit! lol

In my limited experience pvp'ing with my druid/shadowpriest (yet to take my mage in to a BG) I'd say its not too bad.

A day in AV on AV weekend can get you around 15K+ depending on how many wins/losses you get.

I've farmed 11K with my priest in 3 or 4 days playing a couple of hours a day and over 30K on my druid in only 3 days playing a fair bit of the day (not on BG weekends either).

In my own experience AV has always offered the most honor based on time spent. Especially if you can get in a good group / bg. I've earnt as much as 700 per game when not on an AV weekend.

I tend to use AV exclusively even when the bg of the weekend if for a different bg. I only do the others for tokens.

Depending on the items you wanted to get and how much time per day you invest, you could probably farm them up in a week. I'd say base you calculations on 500-1000 honor per hour, then choose the items and total up the cost, that will give you the number of hours you need to play.

For example, if you wanted the
Gladiator's Silk Amice (11,250 HP) - Shoulder
and
Gladiator's Silk Cowl (14,500 HP) - Head

Total HP = 25,750

Assume you get 750 per hour
approx 35 hours. 7 hours a day = 5 days.

Assume 1000 per hour
approx 26 hours = 3.5 days.

2 days in AV on AV weekend = 25K and your sorted.

Hope that helps.
