Was wondering the same thing but in a different environment.
For raiding, what is the optimal spell rotation? I try to keep my 2 DoTs up as much as possible (ex-warlock here :P ) and then spam wrath/starfire. I can't figure out which is better for dps? I think my rotation should be wrath spam and then a Starfire whenever I crit and Nature's Grace is up.
Am almost hit capped (with BoP talent I only need 150 right?) and have 22% crit and 900 buffed +damage. Wrath crits for about 2.2k and Starfire hits for ~1.9/2k and crits for about 4k.
From what I've been told from other druids who like to boomkin. Wrath is more dmg and used for short fights and starfire is better dmg for longer fights since it's more mana efficent.

This is exactly what I always read in every forum. Not sure on numbers, but maybe this thread can help ya: http://elitistjerks.com/f31/t11582-druid_moonkin_dps_spreadsheet/
The consensus from what I have read, is keep Insect swarm up (moonfire - some say yes, some say no) then spam starfire. Towards the end of the fight, once you can see how your mana is going you can switch to wrath spam for the last part of the fight and try to finish the fight just as you run OOM.
