Spell RotationFollow

#1 Jan 27 2008 at 11:18 AM Rating: Good
Kinda wondering what my rotation should be at 36 - 40 - 50 - 60 - 70 etc...

I've been doing this Pounce > Feral Farie Fire > Shred > Claw > Claw > Feroucious Bite (and their usually dead, if I crit they die sooner). I don't really use any other spells like Tiger's Fury and was wondering if I was missing out...

Thanks for the heads up/critique on my spell rotation.

You're fine. Just be "Shredding" for as long as they are stunned, it's your biggest hit. If you have Brutal Impact you should be squeezing off two shreds until you get mangle.

Speaking of which, the only change on the horizon is that when you get Mangle (cue the choir and angelic music) at level 50 your opener becomes:
Pounce > FFF > Mangle > Shred > Second Shred with an OoC Proc > Finisher (or another mangle to get you to 4 combo points if you went crit-less and ooc-less in the opener)

Finisher should be Rip if they have a lot of life left or FB if that would finish them off. Then at 64 you get Maim which is a cool finishing move that combines a brief stun with a DoT which can make for the fun Maim -> Get Behind and Pause -> Shred finishing move.

The only time to use Tiger's Fury is to amp up a Ravage on a squishy target, and even then only if you pop it a few seconds before the attack, let your energy build up, and hit them just before the TF timer runs out. Otherwise you're starting the fight short on energy and TF is so marginal that that pushes it under the bar of being worthwhile.

Im only at 41 with my druid alt, but Ive only been using FFF after I run out of energy and waiting for it to build back up.

Is their a reason other than to increase the damage a bit on the shred to use it first?

No, that is the reason.

(Yes it has the side benefit of preventing the target from stealthing, but that's only an issue in PvP and no rogue is going to be trying to "Vanish" within the few seconds right at the beginning of the right that we're talking about here.)

Usually, after you've done a Pounce and a Mangle, you need your energy to tick back so you can Shred. Experience has shown me that the time it takes for enough energy to tick back is just enough for me to get off a Feral Faerie Fire.

So I can Pounce > Mangle > Faerie Fire > Shred and then Pounce breaks.
