It starts at 1g, then goes up to 5g. It increases by increments of 5(?)g until 50g, where it's capped. So even if you respec'd every 5 minutes, it could never be more than 50 gold.

oo i see, i didnt think it ever capped. i can see getting the gold from boss/trash loots. ty

you wont get that money from bosses or trash unless your farming some raid content, during new encounters for me i usually end up repairing for about 70g for a evening

those money comes from dailys

I'm a newly 375 Miner and I just fly around Nagrand and Netherstorm mining Adamantite and Fel Iron. I mine the rare Khorium too. That usually nets me some pretty good flow. I stopped doing the dailies...they just suck now.

Also, you can get the 50g respec cost to drop to 45g if you don't respec for a while too. Not exactly sure how long you have to wait, but it's def. not worth it.

You can also get money by running lowbies through the Deadmines. The ones that ask are twinking their toons most likely and will pay a decent amount for a run through...if not..raise the price bcuz in 2 or 3 runs they can get a lot of twink gear.

i'm glad to see i'm not hallucinating. i hit the respec cost cap a while before 2.3, and then hadn't respecced in a few weeks since 2.3. when i did respec to fury from prot, the cost had dropped from 50g to 45g and i thought i'd lost my marbles o.O

i think i read somewhere that after you reach 50g, every month that you dont respec, the cost will drop down 5g.

Yep, it's a month. Or at least was. To my knowledge it hasn't become any less time, but maybe.

if you get into a serious raiding guild that raids >3 times a week prepare to shell out some serious gold.

you're looking at roughly 80g / night for repairs + consumables [2 flasks and food and etc.]

dailies will pretty much only cover that. The best thing I found to do is to farm air elementals behind the aldor base in SMV (it's usually uncrowded compared to the ledge near the scryers base). Primal airs are usually the most expensive on every server and I can usually pick up ~6 / hour and sell them for 18g. So I would respec from fury -> arms to pvp then on some off day, or an hour before our BT raids start I'd farm the **** out of those, send them to my alt, put them up on the AH and generally not have to worry about gold.

I found amazingly nice farming raid food. Mobs that drop meat are usually 3 shooted and the drop rate is nice. I can easily sell +spell damage food for 1,5 g each + agi food 1 g /each 20 sta food 1 g each and 30 sta food (fishing) up to 2,5 g each. Latly I introduced to the market + hit food and pet food. I don't even mention +healing (fising) which sells always in any quantity.

During this I farm herbs to replenish my flask/elixir stock.

Farming primals and dailies are gold mines as well.

I also farm other areas - I need change not to fall asleep.
