Mage build after patch 2.3.2Follow

#1 Jan 27 2008 at 6:09 AM Rating: Decent
Hi all
I’m a Arc/Fire build ant this is the build that I’m using.
My play style is mostly Instance and raids (not PvP).

After the new patch (2.3.2) there is the new talent that can do hast you spell by 20% for 20 sec but to use that we need 11 point on frost.

what is your opinion of good build that will be arc/fire and will include the hast talent and will do the best DPS?
Also if this not possible please suggest good DPS build.

Well the current raiding build is a 2/48/11, but with that you won't get much PvP utility. Personally, I use a 40/21/0 for mainly raiding purposes and a little PvP on the side. It works pretty well for me.

I don't really see any builds that would work for deep arcane, fire, and Icy Veins. The points are too spread out really to do much good. If you've got enough spell damage from your gear, go ahead and drop your arcane talents to go deeper into the fire tree and grab the Icy Veins talent. However, if your gear doesn't give you enough, stick with your Arc/Fire build.

It would really help if you posted your armory.

current raid dps builds are 11/48/3 or 3/48/11. if you have the mana (i.e. a shadowpriest) to keep up the latter, good. otherwise stick with the former.

arcane + fire + icy veins is just not going to happen.

I don't even need the shadowpriest(well, any more than I did before) unless there's much AoE to be had.

There isn't that large of a difference between a 10/47/3+1 build and the 2/48/11 build besides teh clearcasting, but in reality the mana saved there isn't large enough to require a shadow priest over the other one, especially with the new mana gems, evocation, mana potions, etc. Of course an spriest is amazing to have, but that shouldn't be the deciding factor.
