Maces/Fist PvE RaidingFollow

#1 Jan 26 2008 at 6:50 PM Rating: Decent
So, I read on these boards, not very long ago infact, about a Fist/Swords build. This bascially ment that the Sword OH would proc the Fist MH swing, generating an extra attack as per the Sword Spec.

What my idea is, is to use this basic idea, but promote it onto different specs altogeather.

Please bear in mind the following :: I use my rogue for PvP mainly, making a Raiding spec is new to me. I miss out on the goodies (Imp. Gouge) which feels strange.

This is the Spec I came up with.

As an explanation, I figure this spec is for PvE raiding (Kara, Gruul's, TK, SSC, ect.)

It has the 5/5 fist spec for the +5% crit chance, along with the 5% increased damage on a critical hit. My views on Combat Maces raiding is that you should only really spec it if you plan to stack +crit to a horendous ammount (40%+ ?).

With this spec it means you get the Crit that you need to make Mace PvE useful. I also find it hard (when ever I make a raiding build) to put those last points that I wouldn't need for MoD or Imp. Kick.

I was really wondering if anyone had tried a spec like this, but mainly if there are any theory-crafters out there who could work out the DPS compaired to just Combat Swords or just Combat Maces.

okay ill explain the concept

fist/sword

mh a fist, oh a sword

sword spec procs from the oh swings, but swings the mh as a result... the proc swing has +5% crit since it was a fist being swung

fist/mace

hand a fist, hand b mace (doesnt matter which)

attacks from hand a get +5% to crit, attacks from hand b get stun chance and +5% crit damage bonus

1 would not affect the other... fist/sword works by nature of its design, with offhand procs reswinging the main hand weapon

I'm skeptical of any raiding build without Ruthlessness.
