First off, please pardon my formatting and such; I'm posting from my cell which I use to browse the forums while at work ;)

So I just respecced to Elemental after being Enhance all the way up to 70. In doing my research for the respec I read a lot of interesting stuff I'd never thought or heard of even in all the forum sifting I did on my way to 70.

One of the things I loved about Enhance was my Improved Ghost Wolf... I'd used it regularly in BGs as a quick escape / tackle and wasn't looking forward to giving it up.

Then someone mentioned somewhere that Ghost Wolf qualifies as a nature spell and thus is an instant cast with Nature's Swiftness! I tried it out in AV last night to a fair degree of success. I found that EB totem or FS and an instant GW can make for a very convenient escape trick.

So, what other little tips and tricks do you know? Dropping WoA before a fire or healing totem is a handy way to buff the dmg or heal tick of those totems, and StoneClaw totem can actually be useful versus a druid's barrage of treants in PvP. Far Sight in conjunction with a sentry totem seems to allow a Shaman a lot of situational awareness in the right circumstances. Does Elemental Mastery guarentee a crit from a fire nova totem? There seems so many strange spell combos and possibilites I've never seen discussed...

Anyone have any really good little gems of info to share that might not be common knowledge? Include trinkets and gear possibilities if you got 'em!

A paladin using Seal of Righteousness can effectively benefit from Flametongue totem, because the fire damage procs from the melee hit AND again from the holy damage.

But I think it would be Shockadins who benefit most from that, because Retadins would probably still get more out of Windfury, while Shockadins have +spell damage to scale up their Flametongue.

That count as a nifty trick?

Hmm that is interesting... I've never had a pally ask me for FT totem instead of WF... it probably is more effective still and it also is more impressive when WF procs.

Hmmm...I wouldn't really call it a "trick", but these are some "fun" tactics that I like to do.

I tend to GW all over the place in BG's, rarely mount up (unless I need to get somewhere FAR away like in AV). I use the GW offensively tho, since its easier to sneak up on someone as a semi transparent waist height wolf, rather than a 10ft tall tauren, or even worst a 10ft tauren on a mount :p

Sentry tot in the flag room, while I lay in wait on the roof is a fun little trick. Just wait safely above, jump down and FS them when you see someone trying to go for it.

This is my general totem drop in BG's everytime I run into groups. I typically key bind this to my button 5 on my mouse for easy access.

/castsequence reset=13 Grounding totem, Tremor totem, Fire Nova totem

I'm not sure if EM forces a crit off off totems, never tried it when I was a Elem spec. My instincts are going to say "no", but don't quote me on that.

This more so falls under the classification of FUN rather than "useful". If you happen to be the rare 21/40/0 suicide spec. You can surprise yourself on how HIGH a self buffed SS+CL crit can hit for. #'s that even a pure elem spec will blush over :P Course getting close enough to LAND a SS and get enough time to fire off a uncontested CL is pretty rare...thus I said this was a FUN more, not that practical.

If you happen to have the Dark moon trinket "Wrath", spam Rank 1 LB's on a pull, to start "charging" up your crit chance. Since the card recognizes spell/melee attacks as the same, a Enh typically has very LOW spell crit chance, thus is more likely to keep "charging" your crit % by the time the mob gets to you. By doing this, your more than likely to get your "Melee" crit past 50%, and nearly ensure a crit SS when you unleash it.

Thats all I can think of atm.
