Oh, well that’s a completely different scenario you wife is just blowing you **** because she wants to play. Mine hates games (except Solitaire) and gets jealous...You just need two accounts and then you can both play when the little one goes to sleep

Well, yeah, I meant a pull of non-gray mobs though. I've done all of SM Cathedral in one pull, even the mobs outside the door, but it's not as impressive when the mobs are only hitting you for like 50 damage... :P

My advice is to find some 'of the champion' lvl 66+ gear, throw stamina or defense leather armor kits on it and you'll be good to go. Def/avoidance>stam once you have over 11k hp in early tanking gear. Felsteel leggings/gloves/helm are great starter pieces too and pretty cheap.
Also avoid any cc once you get around 450+ def for any nonlvl 70 instance it just slows things down. Once you have 490 def you won't need much cc in lvl 70 instance either.

I just hit 70 on my pally 3 days ago and tanked ShadowLabs 3 times, no cc, no deaths, no wipes, with no super geared party members(one of the runs had a 69 pally healing).

Was a great time as i enjoy tanking, but pugs can get old rather fast, saw by far the 3 dumbest rogue specs(3/41/17 mh 1.6spd dagger, 0/31/30 hemo daggers, 19/0/42 hemo dagger, no imp bs) while pugging last week. As a prot pally aoe tanking with no cc I do decent dam, usually 20% of the grp. These rogues were so bad i easily out damaged them(by more than 5%)which is flat out pathetic.

*edit armory wasn't working when i 1st posted, if armory is correct you're at 386 def which is really low, spell dam is really nice for aoe grinding, but try to get the def above 450 asap, really don't need much spell dam besides your wpn and in that respect you are definetly good to go. Spec wise I'd pick up imp judgements and precision over reckoning but that's just my opinion.

**my pallys logged out in grinding gear not tanking gear, sry i'll try and log him out in tanking gear later on.

Thanks for the post, i agree he needs a lot of work :P i dont have 11k HP unbuffed yet so that is why i havent traded any sta for def. I dont think you need any def for non heroics anyway. they are just so easy.

To put it simply, i just dont have the gear yet. And wont for a very very long time tbh.

See thats your problem, you need to have your Son "Tank" mommy and stop
being a noob and pulling Agro from him.

Hope you enjoy Prot, I <3 it, only time I ever get problems doin it is when
people try to make me tank like a warrior. I just lol at them.I learned long
ago that even tho they are similar, they are different in how they handle
things.

One day I do wanna respec ret and go play around in Bg's a bit.
one day...

So... when you've got a group of say... 6-8 mobs on you, what's wrong with having consecration up?

I don't think anyone's ever said that ... To the contrary that's the PERFECT time to spam it.

Prot Paly + good healer + AOE class taken to Black Morass. Paladin rounds up every non-elite mob in the zone, takes them back to the start, group lays down the AOE - quick, easy, broken profit :)

I went Prot a couple days ago after being Holy and I love it. My guild was short tanks so I took the initiative and I'm never turning back. Shattered Halls has to be the most fun instance ever for a Prot Pally. Run it once and you'll be hooked. You can just pull entire rooms at a time, and the best part is the gauntlet. We 4-manned the entire instance the other night which was a blast. Hang in there!

Good to bring a skinner too. My record is 83 of the non-elites at once. I like showing off in BM, the one instance I don't mind running for PuGs.
