Value of 1 int vs +1 to shadow, ect....Follow

Hey nooblet shadowpriest here. I'm trying to get all the stats in my head correct. Please lemme know if this is correct priority wise for PvP and PvE.

+shadow damage (heal for healing set)
>
Spell Hit (16%max)
>
MP5 (mana regen not the gun)
>
Intelligence
>
Spirit
>
Stamina

I was also wondering Is the point difference great? Is 1 shadow dmg bonus worth about 2 Mp5 or like 3-6 Int? Would 9 spirit be better then 6 int? ect. I know it depends a little on what your looking for, but I wanted to get the opinions of more experienced Shadowpriests

pve priority for shadow is
spell hit (until maxed out at 76)
+shadow damage
+intellect
+stamina
+mp5
+spirit

The reason that +damage is so much more important than the other stats is that our effective mana pool essentially scales based on the amount of damage that we do. I'd always rate stamina above spirit and mp5 though since a lot of raid content these days requires an element of survivability, with general raid damage being a lot more common.

I am confused about the Draenei racials that give 1% hit and spell hit, does it work only in parties? I cannot see the icon when Im solo, this means it doesnt work for me solo no? Or it applies to me too but without the buff icon being visible?

Thanks.

doesn't work on yourself, just your party members

Incorrect, it DOES work on your own char, "Increases Chance to hit with spells by 1% to YOU and all party members within 30 yards". It won't show up on your tooltip, but it's there. If you're draenei you only need 5% to cap (64 hit). Aside from that I agree with what mothra said as far as importance goes.

Hit cap, enough stamina to survive the encounter, and then ALL +dmg. Your intellect, mana regen, crit rating, and spirit are worthless for the most part. In 25-mans, consider 1 spirit=.11dmg (due to Kings and IDS), and about 6crit=1dmg *if* you use Blast/Death on *every* cooldown (more realistically, 8-10crit=1dmg).

For PvP, your priorities are 10k unbuffed health, 400 resilience, and then damage. You're going to be the tank of any arena, you'd better be able to take some hits.

If you're still leveling, try and get a good amount of spirit instead of the above. Combined with Spirit Tap, it's godly for leveling. Once +dmg starts to get more and more common (mid-40's or so), then start stacking that.

Thank you. I actually noticed that when in a party with my draenei priest, the buff icon does not show for me, but I know it shows for the others, so when Im solo its the same deal I guess :)

I love the fact that it is going to be so easy to reach hit cap with my shadow priest.
