Armor Set QuestionFollow

#1 Jan 24 2008 at 12:07 PM Rating: Default
I am trying to get my Magister's set. I have heard that the outlands have pretty awesome armor drops. Will the drops in the outlands be better than getting the Magister's set? Am I wasing my time completing this set?

Yes. When I went to outlands, my mage had blues from leve 60 stuff preBC and as soon as I did my first quest, I replaced it with a green. Before long I was "decked" out in uber greens that blew the pre BC stuff out of the water.

I replaced several pre-TBC epics in roughly 3 hours of being in Outland.

I only had 2 level 60 epics when I hit 70, they were pvp ones, but I didn't instance until I hit 70.

I too wanted to get my magister's set, if for no other reason than to have it and possibly trade it in for the, uh, other set whose name escapes me (Sorcerer's?). I managed to get the three BoE pieces, and Scholo got old pretty quick (finding a group to go was tough... nobody was interested in old world instances, plus the damn pieces never dropped...)

That being said, yeah, you'll find that Outlands armor will quickly replace the pieces you do have, and generally make it unpalatable to continue questing for the Magister's.

It was never palatable to try to get Magister's. Magister's has always sucked.

I was collecting Dreadmist, if only for the look of it. I noticed lastnight after spending a few hours in Outlands that I probably won't be collecting it anymore!

That's a set I wouldn't mind collecting just for the looks, either.

You have to admit tho that the Sorcerer's set ain't that bad looking.

Sorcerer's is ok. And for looks, neither has ever been bad. But sorcerer's was hardly worth the effort and Magister's has always sucked on stats.

yes...outland set is better...but it looks fugly!!!!

especially those easier to get stats, i mean those epics set which you dont need to go to raid and can get it....

such as spellstrike hood and pants, spellfire chest

omg...its just freaking ugly @@
and since i am wearing the best PVP epic shoulder(easiest to get, as no need go kara and which have the best stat among other heroics blues)

and it looks even worst!!!!!

gosh
